I only found it amusing, but not funny. For me, it was nothing more than 'interesting situation'. It is something that has to do with direction.

Manga had better connection with the chain of random situation, which made it funny. This isn't doing it at all.

Just watched ep1. It was pretty boring. Some scenes were amusing but yeah mostly bored the hell out of me. I'll check the next few episodes to see if it gets better.

The jokes are lame, except for the flying wiener...but still I loved the atmosphere Nichijou delivered, it's unique in this regard.

Eh... sadly it didn't work for me. 4koma origins too obvious, plus weird unexplained explosions and flying sausages. Almost got me with loli-hakase though, KyoAni :\

As mentioned previously in the thread, it's like Ika Musume. The chapters aren't 4-koma, but they're short, so many of them are combined into the process of making one episode.

what a random anime. Kinda random like Lucky Star but the animation is pretty decent. Loved the wiener scene. WTF@ the guy riding a goat (I know he is a farmer but still). ROFL @ the toe being USB.

Those were the most boring 20 minutes of my life in quite a while .. All the '' jokes '' and whatever were neither amusing or funny. Reminds me kinda of AD which I found boring and stupid as well.

It wasn't always funny, but it did well in not sticking to the unfunny bits for too long, and having more variety in the jokes made it so that eventually one of them got through to me and made me laugh. My favourite character right now has to be Mai, simply because she's featured in both of my favourite moments -- catching food and shooting frisbees. The latter was just the first time Iactually laughed with this episode. The dog was all excited about going after the frisbee, only to see his fun shattered by a gun shot! It's far from being brilliant, but at least it made me chuckle a few times, something the OAD failed to do. One interesting trait was the sheer amount of different characters with unique quirks, like the goat guy and the cute robot assistant. If they can explore these well, it could turn into a pleasant surprise. They have what is needed, now it's just a matter of putting everything together well. Other than that, production is, as expected, pretty good, and that much is enough of a reason for me to give it a few more episodes. The jokes might not be too good, but presentation is just as important, and if we end up getting more scenes as well animated as that wiener one it should be worth the effort. In a nutshell, cute, well produced and somewhat funny at times. __________________ Too busy lazy for real blogging, so here's my Twitter instead!

I cannot really give out a summary of what just happened because a different topic was being said every few seconds, so I'll just point out what struck me the most. -Nano chasing the cat who took their food, daydreaming about the situation the cat was in, bumped into a student, and caused an explosion. -The many things that fell on Yuuko's head: a kokeshi, an akabeko, and salmon -Nano was unable to leave the roof and found out she lost a decent number of items, including her arm -Dog: oh a Frisbee. Must run and catch it. Mai shoorts the Frisbee with a shotgun -The whole saving the weiner for last event. The weiner slips, a failed catch by yuuko, boy goes "Oh look, a penny," weiner passes his hair. a fail catch by mai, and finally, a(n) (un)successful catch for Yuuko. -I have never seen a cuter version of rock, paper, scissors than with Nano and the professor -Mio jumped too high in jump rope. Or, those guys are swinging it too low. -The guy taking pride that he is a farmer, especially his goat, and Mio fantasizing about him coming to her as a prince on a white goat. -The fact that there is a squid leg on Yuuko's hair and Mio's forehead. -Yukko tricking Mio in pushing the fire alarm button. -The grim reaper not doing his job correctly -The winding of Nano = toe shot Overall, a very cute episode.
