basically it is about what happen after Okabe use Time Leap Machine ( dont forget that it only send Okabe's Memories to the past not Okabe's Soul or Consciousness )

Hm that sounds pretty interesting!
The game went over the idea of leaping world lines as the result of D-mail pretty well, but time leaping is only seen from Okabe's perspective...
Gotta get my hands on that book now lol

Having re-experienced the prologue+part of ch1 in the anime, it got me thinking back to the game and how some things always bugged me about

the final chapter and future Okabe's "Operation Skuld." So was this final grand scheme really free of plot holes?

I guess what really bugged me was:

According to the game, Okabe only "observed" that Kurisu had been covered in blood, he never checked if she was actually dead. Therefore, Kurisu's death is not set in stone and "deceiving" Okabe and the world can save her.

But this is only true from Okabe's perspective... I mean someone else could have "observed" Kurisu's death after Okabe left the building! Was the game trying to say that Okabe's POV is the almighty decider in how the world lines eventually "converge?"

I mean, how can future Okabe be so sure that Kurisu's death is not the fate already decided by convergence of the world lines (much like how hopeless Mayuri was in world line alpha)? And that what Okabe saw was the only thing that mattered?

I'd love you guys' input on this.

Uhmmm, it's been a while since I played the game in it's entirety so my memory is abit fuzzy but...

While Okarin's POV is definetely very important as he triggers the events, I don't think it's correct to say that he alone is the deciding factor in regard to the outcome of the world lines, and I wasn't of the impression that the game was trying to tell it either. For example, If only Okarin was the deciding factor, it wouldn't matter if Kurisu is alive or not when he discovers her in a pool of blood. But in chapter 11 it is just the fact that she is alive which results in a branch off to a new worldline.

Kurisu's death is decided by the convergence of the world lines in one worldline (beta), which is why future Okarin tries to branch off to a worldline that isn't either alpha or beta and ultimately succeeds with it during chapter 11.

Or this is how I understood the whole thing.

Hmmm let me know if I'm misinterpreting you.
Basically what I had reasoned out was that:

- Okabe needs to see "bloody" Kurisu in order to send the first D-mail

- This first D-mail is a huge event that carries a large world line divergence % (世界線変動率%). This must be carried out in order to avoid time paradox.

- Compared to the significance of said event, the act of other people "observing" that Kurisu is in fact, dead, is a very minor detail carrying a negligible world line divergence %

- Therefore, the possibility of other people having "observed" Kurisu's death can be ignored, as Kurisu alive or dead, won't be causing a time paradox.

- This allows Okabe to "deceive" the world without worrying about anything other than Okabe's own perspective.

Oh, yeah. I definitely agree with this.
I don't think the writers intended for Okabe to be some kind of god whose POV is all that matters, haha.

It's just that future Okabe's master plan to save Kurisu in CH11 sort of led me to doubt everything.
I mean, the whole premise of the plan was:

- Abide by the rules of this world line (Beta). Keep the events of that day consistent. Avoid time paradox!

- But trick the world so that the past is consistent and time paradox is avoided, while altering the result!
a.k.a. save Kurisu, Dr. Asshole loses his documents and enter "Steins;Gate"

It baffled me that future Okabe was so confident that his plans would succeed, solely from the belief that "Okabe never confirmed whether Kurisu was actually dead."

OK, that allows for Okabe to trick his past self. But shouldn't he be worried about causing a time paradox in relation to other people that came into contact with stabbed Kurisu that day? It seemed as though future Okabe's plans only account for "deceiving" Okabe's perspective, and not necessarily the world.

Which is why I reasoned out my own reason for future Okabe's confidence above.

I think it is safe to say that the divergence shift in this case is solely dependent on

-Did Okarin send the d-mail?

-Is Kurisu dead or alive?

I tried searching, but I keep finding only wikipedia's summary which is too summarized and doesn't explain much.

Okarin gives up on saving Mayuri and repeats the time before her death over and over again during all of which Okarin starts to mentally break down. After a while Suzuha notices that something is off, confronts Okarin about it, and they decide to time travel and search for the IBN 5100. It ends like that on a somewhat happy note, giving the player the impression that they might just succeed.

And you really need some spoiler tags there...

Well, to be honest, all the endings except for the true one are more like "extras", and especially Suzuha's felt like that. It's just one of those games were the true end is everything. ^^
