That doesn't sound very good to me. Also why the hell is he still mixing BGM for the first 3 episode 2 weeks before the show's airing?!

I think some geniuses make better results when challenged.... hopefully it'll be such a case for Iwasaki Taku xD Hehe...

Seconding this. I just saw it and oh he's so colorful xD

Art in the scenes of the recent trailer seems better than the one before it.

That it does:

Spoiler for Picture comparison:

... meaning the animation staff most likely paid attention to the complaints that popped up right away. On the other hand, it isn't that reassuring to assume that they've reworked on some scenes from episode 1 when they should be working on future episodes... but I do feel much more excited for the series now that I don't think the characters look terrible anymore.

(See this blog entry for a comparison of the rest of the trailer, Mashu got a revamp too!)

I doubt it has anything to do with "complaints". Either they used incredibly old footage for the earlier promos (or didn't put them online for a really long time) or C is a last minute production (ala SHAFT) and it's still getting improved. (Or "lolearthquake" reasons.)

This art difference between trailers sure seems to promise nice looking final products/BDs though.

Hah. I've seen stuff getting fixed for DVDs, but in this case it almost strikes me as they had a completely different character design for the second screenshot. Can't complain, though, really, seeing as it looks much, much better.

Two more days and I guess we'll figure out how exactly C is going to look. Between these art discrepancies and the Iwasaki tweets, I'm really curious about the final product.

new cm was pretty short, but it made me more excited.

Was that the OP or ED that was playing?

The OP theme, by NICO Touches the Wall.

Full version of the OP is already out. It's actually included in NICO touches the Walls' 3rd album, Passenger, which was released last April 6.

I for one enjoyed the opening... Makes me glad it's more focused on the currency and the designs look a little better. But, I'm still not sure what to make of C in terms of a genre. I can only wait and hope the first episode goes well after they touched up a few things.

Whatever the reason behind the changes on the promo trailer art, what matters more is how they'll look on the actual episodes for me~ (But then again, I'm more of a story over art person so I wouldn't really give a damn if they ended up looking deformed most of the time, haha!)

Oh this interview (though it had some spoilers) gave us more ideas on the characters and of what the series is about xD

I made a summary (sort of) of the main (or those that are interesting for me) points in that artcile at my blog. I love the full OP and very very excited to see the first episode already xD

The OP is on the official website too. Unnusual move, making the OP/ED animation avaible beforehand. I don't think I remember any other case where this happened. That said, both are really cool, and the character design in the OP looks fantastic. That's good and all, but now that I've seen how cool Kimimaro can look, I definitely won't settle for ugly versions like in that old trailer.

Meanwhile, the ED has some really colourful animation going on, but the song itself steals the show. Top contender for one of my favourite SFP songs ever!

I think this is noitaminA's new promotion plan to have the OP/ED streamed for a limited time only. AnoHana also did that with it's creditless ED. Now that I think about it, Fractale also revealed it's OP, albeit with episode footage overlayed over it. I certainly like the ED over the OP but then again, I like school food punishment over Nico Touches the Walls.

I'm kinda getting scared of the whole financial aspect being just a fancy cover for what could be a standard fantasy action series.

My guess is that this will turn out a bit like Kaiji or Liar Game, or perhaps Eden of East. I'd be quite happy if they manage it. The OP and ED don't really scream action to me, and this being Noitanima I wouldn't expect it.

The OP seems to have interesting vignettes on each of the currency. Yen seems to show constuction and press conferences (cronyism?), Dollar military action, migrant workers and presidential addresses, with the Euro coming out with Internationalism, Bureaucracy and some building.

Some how I feel that Euro has gotten off easy here .

They should've used a hundred dollar bill instead of a 1 dollar bill.

They're called "C" notes, after all.
