Nothing has been definitively announced, but the Shana series is supposed to have a "big announcement" next month. Coupled with the fact that they're re-airing the past two seasons and releasing DVD and BD box sets of them, you can guess what the announcement is.

ZnT is the only I know of that they've produced a third season for (Shana soon to be the second). That said, none of the series they've produced has had the same amount of content and sales/success as Index/Railgun, so the chance of them getting second and third seasons is higher. In any case, it isn't J.C.Staff's decision to start production on a third season. The only choice they have is if they want to be the studio to animate it or not.

As Marcus said, there is no news about S3 there. Also, MAL forum members posting their speculation aren't reliable source.

You mean the story where he gave up the chance to be a Magic God when he saved a cat?

Could be interesting if she didn't mean a literal 'cat', but herself. As a Saint she probably have a certain amount of pride to not admit to need saving...

it will be the opposite, Silvia has too much pride to substitute her part in the story with a cat if she is talking to a child. If she is really a cat,...... wow! a personal battle maid, what a way to repay a debt.

Touma would probably be killed by the Knight Leader if it's 1v1 as of Vol17... in NT, who knows if he has got some kind of powerup that can match him later on?
