I hope there's someone else thinking of original characters for Hidan no Aria this early.
I'm already thinking of an OC based on Victorique de Blois and Kazuya Kujo's great-granddaughter.

I don't remember one of those showing up yet, but almost all the main characters are basically descendants of someone. Even Kinji http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%C5%8Dyama_no_Kin-san I actually was looking forward to the scene from the plane in the novel being animated where Kinji turns on the TV and it's a drama about his ancestor.

If the author wishes it, he'd add the supernatural beings. I wont be surprised if a kitsune falls in love with him because he looks like the Tohyama in the Heian (is this old Japan, right?) period

Jokes aside though, I just wanted to know if there was an Einstein character in the novels, but I think it has more to do with cops and robbers character types, and not exactly rocket scientist types.

The thought of an OC seems like a good idea though.

Actually there are characters that are descendants of historical figures that have nothing to do with detectives or thieves. In fact Aria and Riko are the only ones so far.

And there is no character currently that's a descendant of Einstein, to answer your question.

I was kinda thinking more about OC's and rivalries, the Aria and Riko one is one heck of a rivalry, and thinking about an Einstein character, so far I don't really see how much of a fit he/she could be in regards to the storyline, but that's just me thinking about it simply and not on a creator level, somehow I'm not very good with blending into existing property's but instead better at creating original series

EDIT: Seems that I'm starting to think that Hidan no Aria is the "throwaway project" of J.C. Staff. Interesting premise, but story (and foreshadowing) seems all over the place, especially with the latest episode's mention of a certain two-letter organization. Dunno which of the source or the adaptation I should blame.

To put it simply, were they more confident with this series, it wouldn't be a 1 cour spring show. But they did cast the Queen Bee herself, so they must at least expect it to be zero no tsukaima level of 'success', as oppose to poor Ookami-san last year.

I also reviewed the plot, and well, it ain't that decent, actually. The shift to supernatural elements in later volumes (now being introduced by Riko's prehensile hair) should have been completely eliminated, actually.

There were supernatural / superhuman stuff from the beginning. Kinji's Hysteria Mode being the example.

Actually, I don't consider HSS to be supernatural at this point because it doesn't transform any part of Kinji's body, unlike Riko's ability, which made me go "Whoa WTF?!"

how so? i dont see anything wrong with "supernatural elements" how is that detrimental to the plot?

Lack of foreshadowing in the adaptation part. At least show that supernatural abilities have been existing.
Honestly, as someone who does not read the light novels (and is only reading snippets from the Wiki @_@), these things appear as an asspull.
