i guess she gets it later on, because in the later novels she gets the ability "flexible" which basically lets her beams bend

oh and, she also gets "full burst" a la strike freedom

oh yeah. because before this i read that Blue Tears Full Burst ability is like firing in 4 directions simultaneously with closed muzzle. And i went "Wtf?"
