Marcus said that only announces that there is gonna be "big news" about season 3.
Actually, what I only said was that DVD Boxes are scheduled to be released.
There are still no announcements on a Season III, and I have checked the official site.
Autumn 2015: Owarimonogatari, Hidan no Aria AA, K: Return of Kings, Heavy Object, Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst
and Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru.
LN Challenge-Autumn: Gakusen Toshi Asterisk and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry.

Contact me on Wikia and MyAnimeList.
MyAnimeList Status|| Watching: 35. Completed: 257. Plan to watch: 35.

What I meant was that scan says there will be big announcement next month regarding Shana. It's probably a season 3 announcement.

I'd say it would be a novel release date. (Hm? What I'm up to?)

The first Shana anime series aired in Fall 2005, with the sequel in Fall 2007.

Anyway, this thread is for expectations and predictions about this new anime project. Details will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Edit: The new series was later revealed to be the Shakugan no Shana S OVA Series, to be released on BD/DVD beginning in October.

I have a question. I apologize if this question has been asked or answered before. I am a bit afraid to check the thread ( there probably is a hidden spoiler or two ), but is the Shana 3 just the released OVAs or there is actually a season 3 coming out?

From the last two page of the thread i am guessing there will be a season 3 soon but the first post of the thread is confusing me a bit .

The OVAs were just a patch to some screw ups on the main story (like missing up the Shana's past, relationship between Yuji and Willhelmina, etc) and I guess they didn't want to leave Volume 0 (OVAS 3 and 4), so they wanted to animate it before moving on. And the last 1:30 minutes of the last one are just a preview of season 3, don't try struggling to understand it if you don't want spoilers.

Oh look, it has the same director as the first 2 seasons. I'm not sure if it's Watanabe Takashi's fault that the anime has taken such a tangent from the original novels, but he sure did a good job in making the second season (and parts of the first) tedious and soporific. Although the last 2 episodes of the Shana OVAs were good, so the 3rd season isn't a guaranteed sucker.

I do not know if someone has asked this before.
But I find it strange that in the 2nd episode of SnS S, yuji don't dare to call shana "shana" infront of wilhelmina and instead calls her "kanojo".
Because wilhelmina is already going to chigusa for advice, so i guess she should be used to the fact that yuji calls shana "shana"?
