is Tekken Tag Tournament 2 canon?

Most likely not, just like the first game.
I mean... some characters are presented in their younger age (such as Heihachi), it would be weird to have him exist with the same age as Kazuya, right?

not to mention Jinpachi and True Ogre who should've died. Jun was declared as "missing", not dead. But even if she returns, she should've aged.

And we all know that having an old woman fighter won't make a good fanservice

maybe that's the reason for the change of the female casts (Jun -->> Asuka, Michelle -->> Julia). Nina and Anna should've aged too, but luckily they were put into cold sleep between Tekken 2 and 3, so they didn't age for 19 years.

still, I wonder who that JC is lol
I don't think it's Julia, maybe Michelle?

oh and I do hope Kunimitsu comes back, we've seen Jun, Jinpachi and True Ogre come back
why can't her?

she looks fun to play with~
good thing she fights differently from Asuka, I wouldn't want to have another 2 characters with the same moves i.e Christie and Eddy =_=

Yup, her style seems to be more power-oriented. It gave a kinda similar feel to Kazuya's moves IMO

(IMO Asuka and Jin's styles are more technique oriented).

Yeah, the stages look nice too

almost all of the stages seen up till now is pleasant to the eye

There was also a test footage about the updated Devil Kazuya design. Instead of only wings, his skin is made into purple, complete with the horns, 3rd eye, longer hair, and also reddish scar on his chest. He is still wearing his pants, gloves and footpads. No tail and devilish feet design like the original Devil. Harada said that it would be strange if Kazuya transforms back and his pants would magically reappear, lol XD and the tail is hidden by the pants.

^ But I wonder how the transformation will look in another clothing?

Seems after the Tekken live action fail film they've done this to revive Tekken's anime movie franchise.

Tekken anime was bad, Tekken live action by far the worstm Manga's and comic are consistent with the game stories which are decent to good.

Games where always awesome!

Seems so. The anime despite lack of actions, I think it has a good story (although it's non-canon). At least the relationship between Jun and Kazuya was explored. Never seen the manga and comic except the Tekken 6 Web comic which is hilarious XD

Tekken manga was good mostly stories from Tekken 1 and 2.

Btw twitted Harada-san no reply yet if this is canon to the story of Tekken 6.

I checked his twitter too, but it seems that he hasn't replied any questions related to the movie. I guess we'll find out later

Curious to who Shin Kamiya is... and the mysterious devil form at the end of the trailer too. It might be him or Kazuya (based on the bat wings design and also the scar on the chest).

it seems they've changed Paul's voice and everyone are hating it (they'll live with it eventually)
brings back memories when they changed Law's XD
everyone was like "omg law's voice change *le gasp*"

now it's the same with paul

good to see True Ogre back as well

Ah, that ones. Saw them too. Too bad the guy who uses Lars/Armor King is too dominating

not much new moves were shown too...

I personally love Xiaoyu and Paul's new VA. Dunno about Heihachi, but I saw a video of someone playing him and the voice is different.

The characters are also said to speak their native language (Eddy and Christie speaks Portuguese, Leo speaks German, etc.)

And I really like that "Wayang Kulit" stage XD It's Indonesian themed (My country's). Gotta say that they captured the atmosphere very well, not to mention the remix of the traditional music and their own music. Very great job indeed

I wouldn't say it's a change in Voice Actors
more like a change in their fight voices~

Xiaoyu and Paul's reminds me of their old fight voices (or maybe that was namco's plan all along)
