Relax, I'm just warming up. Haven't been typing like this since the time when I decided to shred through TAMnI Volume 7 Chapters 3 and 4. Yesterday was a pretty good progress for Baka Test as well though.

Hahaha, Teh_Ping can be as fast(or maybe faster) as YoakenoHikari when he concentrate himself into translating, and you know how fast Hikari is at translating HnA XD.

...or you could do the School Days Makoto route (disgusted).

A more interesting one is if a guy does get the girl at first hint, but later finds out he's not really in love with her when he really meets a girl he likes---oooh, that would cause some complications.

Thing is, IS does have a harem focus, but that's not the only thing this series has. The mechs and the background story about Phantom Task are interesting in themselves. Usually 'typical' harem series don't have much else outside the harem comedy aspect.

Seriously, I think most idiot male leads are there just so fans think they can have a shot at their fave girl after all.

i can only sigh at the thought that ichika could've been so much better in the anime if only we'd been let into his thoughts

Thanks for giving the English name, that's helpful. I don't think AnimeSuki has a thread for that despite it already have 4 volumes out? I caught up recently on that and want to have a place to talk about it, but if no-one else have read well

hhhmmm, can't find it on wikipedia either...any place i could get info on this?

on topic though, i find that the more i read the novel, the more i like ichika

no, i'm not saying i'm going bi for him, but i just find his character easier to like

he's still an idiot, yeah, it's kinda needed, but his narration is hilarious

I read that series in Chinese, and I can only describe it as 'Shakugan no Shana crossed with Suzumiya Haruhi, topped up with possibly the most dense male protangist in all of the multi-verse and has a plot that can be dissected with tropes easily'.
I don't know where you'd find inforation on that series though

It's not even on Tvtropes

And yeah, I'd agree Ichika's a bit better in the LN compared to the anime.

Noted, the Anime leaves too much out not just with Ichika, but the other characters--the most obvious being Cecilia (the description of her feelings for Ichika are a lot more detailed in the LN).

Hmmm...maybe they should have a Harem lead that's more like Mass Effect's Commander Sheperd...
