I'm not sure but... I don't think Mami is holding calligraphy tools. I think the tools in her pic are what they use for tea ceremonies in Japan.

For those interested, and I'm sure a lot are, Vexed Scans that scanlated the RKGKMDK dojin has scanlated the Vol 2 4-koma. Annoyingly, his news about this was simply a throwaway line in entry for another release, so finding it would have been a bit of a challenge.
