Hayate no Gotoku manga (raw discussion only)

I keep having this feeling that Hayate's parents somehow convinced Suirenji's parents to reach a similar deal they used to sel Hayate. Luca said, some chapters ago, that ome people tricked her parents.........and I wouldnt put it past what we have seen of his parents.

Thats just me though, someone else ptobably already had the theory already.

When it happened to Hina/Yukiji, I thought it might only be a jest to give Hina a temporary explanation for her attraction. But now it's extremely likely that the debts originate from the same source...

Harem-wise, Luca has the potential to be a real dark horse. I am kinda dying just to see her start to get to know the other girls, though. This chapter is pretty much the starting line, I guess. Not much ecchi, not much comedy, but at least it had some plot significance.

I can't bring myself to think that the girl introduced six years into the story really has a chance (Harem ending aside, and I don't expect that either) but she certainly has the potential to shake things up.

As such, I'm guessing she'll call in her promise sooner rather then later. I feel like Luca is more a critically important character to this arc then a long termer. She was originally introduced as being extremely important to Nagi as well, even though it's easy to forget with all the Hayate/Luca focus over the last dozen chapters or so.

So who are the 151-Million debt kids?

1) Hayate
2) Hina and Yukiji
3) Luca

Who else?

The Hina/Yukiji debt was smaller, but point taken. Hata did say he'd reveal more about that background later on. (In the "fall" portion of the manga, which just lends weight to my theory that it will end around Christmas time)

Most of the mystery there is with Yukiji, I think. Hina was just a little girl at the time but I definitely think there's a number of things Yukiji never told her about it.

Mikado, obviously. You see, he's trying to get a group of 12 who will then have to fight among each other for the inheritance since they are all really his children via different mothers. At which time the "Combat Butler" portion kicks into high gear and this becomes a true Seinen story...

No, that's not what I meant. They can't be the same _parents_, because otherwise the kids would have known about each other.

I do wonder though if whoever/whatever lent the money might be the same, or if the activity which caused the huge debt would have been the same. Anyone/anything behind that? Mikado might actually be a good theory.

Look at it that way: All the kids with huge debts and abandoned by their parents have been exceptionally capable in some aspect. Hayate the invincible. Ruka the awesome star. Hina the fighter of justice. Heck, even Yukiji is amazing in her own way.

It was just an observation that if this is a mere coincidence, it's a strange one.

It's pretty obvious that Mikado along with whoever he's working with set them up. He certainly set Hayate up, so it's not a stretch to imagine the others did as well.

Hina didn't repay the debt, Yukiji did. (The only one among the kids to do so, for all her present problems with money...) So clearly, if she puts in the effort and is ready to risk her life, she's quite capable.

He did met Hayate while the latter was only a child, wearing a Santa disguise.

I don't exactly recall when this in the manga, but I'll check just for sure.

Actually, there was a flashback set around the End of the World arc which showed Mikado (dressed as Santa Claus, of course) giving Hayate an omamori pouch, which if I remember correctly was how Hayate got the sacred stone which let him go into the Royal Garden in the first place. I've got no idea just how much of an influence this implies Mikado's had on the story, but on some level it really does seem like he's behind everything.

I'm not clear on this, but although Yukiji did work a lot to clear the debt her parents had left to them, wasn't at least part of Hina and Yukiji's debt covered by their new parents when they adopted them? I think I remember reading something to that effect. Still, true enough, we do have ample evidence that when it comes to the most important things (i.e. Hina), Yukiji can be quite responsible.

About Yukiji and Hina's debt, all I remember is that Yukiji did very dubious things to pay it.
Well, Hayate was going to go down that route until he had a change of heart.

To summarise:
1. Luca will be singing the opening theme for the Hayate film. It seems Hata has already chosen a VA for her. It also seems the one singing her songs will be a different person. Hata didn't give any names.
2. The film's timeline (in relation to the manga) is August 27th.
3. Athena's breasts are larger than Sakuya's. They are also soft. But both are pretty damn good pairs of tits.
4. Hina's chest will never grow.

That's about everything I thought was relevant.
