RSS For Individual Subforums?

I was wondering if there is a way to get RSS updates (say, through Google Reader) from individual subforums on various sites (such as Animesuki's).

If not through Google Reader, is there some other way to code for it in other RSS Readers?

A RSS feed exist for each subforum.

For example it's the feed for Tech Support
http://forums.animesuki.com/external...S2&forumids=24

With Firefox I had to do something to have the RSS icon to show, but I don't remember what

And I have tested the RSS feed of the forum works with Google Reader

I tried out your method and unfortunately all it does is alert Google Reader when a new thread is created. What I'm looking for is a way to alert me when a new post is made to an existing thread within the subforum.

Any ideas?

This thread on the vBulletin forum may be relevant:
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...ly-new-threads

Basically if you add lastpost=true to the query string the thread list in the RSS feed is displayed by last post rather than simply listing new threads.

Example:
http://forums.animesuki.com/external...&lastpost=true

Hmm.... My post should have bumped this thread up to first place in the RSS feed. Maybe output is cached (for performance reasons actually quite likely).

Edit: found the configuration setting -- cache was set to 60 minutes, which is a bit much in my view. New cache setting is 15 minutes.

So, you'd think that your RSS string would work, but it looks like it only shows for the INITIAL last posts of every recent thread in a subforum. If you try to find a updated post (or even a new thread) with this code, then nothing happens. It basically becomes static.

Back to the drawing board, unless someone has a clever solution.
