That quote is just awesome.

Personally, I'd rather a story which in the characters suffer great hardships, but overcome them and reach "Happy Ending".

Thanks to Moczo, I'm going to say this...

Chrono got plenty of those from Amy.

Which your writing is so very, very good at, dear God. I'm never again discussing your HxV files in great detail with anyone, it just leaves me staring into nothing with an expression of wide-eyed horror and disbelief.

How should I say this. The motivation, the belief, the reason was all Nanoha's, but that person you wrote... is not.

Posted "Sleeping At Last" to Fanfiction.net. I seem to get a lot of mileage out of torturing poor Hayate in my stories, eh?

It should be a compliment right? It means that people are at least thinking of one's stories after reading them?

Yours was much more depressing than mine!

I do have to agree with Craxuan a bit though: Nanoha in the story felt to me either like an AU Nanoha, or one who has been fighting for years in some dreadful war. And I would completely have accepted the latter explanation, if there had been some background hints dropped about it--but since we're told that this mission is actually an oddity for Nanoha, it did make Nanoha feel OOC to me.

Spoiler for spoiler for the story:

However, I did really like how you built up Nanoha's regrets and yet her determination to keep doing what she's doing anyway. It made the approaching end incredibly bittersweet, as we can see how Nanoha's fighting not for the people she loves, but for the ideals that she loves and believes in. Which is actually very in character in my opinion .

Many people suffer from seeing romantic subtext everywhere. Deathcurse instead sees tragedy subtext everywhere (I bet she could spot potentials for tragedy even in the happiest of stories )

Perhaps we should flood this site with happy stories to dilute the amount of tragedy in her blood?

Be careful, tough. Bad writen hapiness can feel like a cheap excuse to solve problems at times, even if there's a happy ending i think is necessary to depict the resolution the character undergoes to overcome the feelings and consequences of the bad things that happened to him/her. If a character pass through hell and his/her reaction about said conflict is "hello guys! ...ooff that was rough, give me a family hug! *-*" with puppy eyes and a smile, and it's not a comedic chara, that gives me an annoying feeling of cheapness.

...like sayin "let's smile togheter and pretend nothing of that happened".

More like one fine day I had a detailed discussion with a friend about the bare bones of the 'verse, and walked away from it feeling just a little horrified. Never again!
