So the last paragraph gives me the impression they are magic side extremists out to destroy science. Especially like it says Science became the Victor. Since Touma stopped Fiamma the magic side lost. Maybe Gremlin is made of Fiamma supporters. Since Touma stopped Fiamma their goals were destroyed and they wanna kill him.

Agreed, that's why I said I know what Kamachi is doing, but lets face it, this operation didn't need Hamazura at all when you have Accelerator

I've thought of that, but when it comes to magic artifact you don't know what might happen if you try to touch it by normal means.

Fair enough, but it really doesn't sound like much of a threat if you have Accelerator on the scene

Not much of a threat to Accel, but Touma on the other hand will be roasted by a purely mundane bomb.

Other possibilities might include a few missiles fired into the building or another assualt team attacking, and Touma by himself is just going to be slaughtered.
