There's 1.5x the vocal work of Persona 4, I'm sure the amount of text is also quite significant. She's probably a party member.. I don't see her just being an S-Link with her connection to the velvet room.

Unless me hermitting atm missed info again lol Although to be fair, her description from the Famitsu page do reminded me of the Velvet Room's inhabitants aka Igor's lackeys, particularly Margaret/Theo.

Also to be fair, say she is a party member, even with additional scenes featuring her tying in to original party members (seems that she will at least appear in June? Zooming scan via ipod ahoy~) it is still hard to reach about 1.5x voice amount of the original. Or I'm just a bit iffy with the probability of her being some kind of Mary Sue... Thing, if she is a new Party member.

Possible relation with Elizabeth? Then perhaps the whole story might got changed because of the inclusion of this new character

Unlike P3P where all the new characters doesn't seem that important with the main storyline

IIRC the initial leaks said that Marie was one of the new character]b\s]/b], also they might be doing events that take place afterwards, how they work that in though who knows.

I think the new feature is to have more control over what skill your fused Persona inherits.

Because doing it at random is totally not fun

I'm inclined to believe that Marie is related to the Velvet room because of her western name (Elizabeth, Margaret, Theodore, etc). Or she could be a transfer student or something. Japan seems to get a lot of those in the middle of the school year. >.>

She probably is

Her hat has the symbol which is on Theodore's cap whilst her Bag has the same symbol as the ones on Theodore/Elizabeth's clothes.

Maybe she is Elizabeth in disguise :P ? Her outfit does have some similarities (sleeveless, gloves , collared) . Also, she did leave the velvet room in P4.
