Look at that gun, it may not be the DOTS rifle, but it definitely follows the same design and all. There is no way that thing is a regular beam rifle, it has to be from the AGE system.

We don't know if the G-Exes is a mass-production model. If it isn't, then the DOTS Rifle it seemingly carries isn't, either.

Well, if it doesn't end up being a mass produced model, it won't change the fact that thing is another DOTS rifle. As I said, the designs are far too similar.

Yeah, this was my concern when I asked the question really. I can see some of the resemblance to the DODS but it was more of the G-Exes' status.

If anything, I would say that the Shaldol has a much higher chance of being a mass produced type than the G-Exes at this point. It has a more generic helmet and lacked those Beam saber-ish items on the back. Definitely looks more cheaper and less complete than the G-Exes despite the similarities. And we still don't know whether Shaldol might play the MP role either.

The Dots rifle can shot only 2 before recharging at full. If he engage a squadron EU it will be a difficult for him.

Now to wonder what powers the DOTS rifle beam...and all the other beams as well.

I don't think the sound of the blast can be used to determine what it's made of.

The rifle has a e-cap clip like on its stock that probably has the rounds. It also has an pistol mode without the long barrel, as shown in the gunpla box.

Good be some random particles that's very easily compressed and fired. Beams are usually done for their kinetic energy damage anyways.

I'm going to go with AGE Particles.

As long as they don't explain generic beams as (ridiculous and wrongly depicted) laser weapons like those equiped on some machines in 00 then I should be fine.

Here is your mechanics. Maybe AGE-1 with ditch the barrel after spending the two beam magnum rounds to fire normal beams.

I guess the two bullet sign there might be an indicator of bullets/shot count; especially with the rifle symbol already there. I do love the idea that the shot count for the powerful shot is limited though.

It also occurs to me that we have no fully red mobile suit..................yet.

That might be the case, or its either a close combat variant with rapid fire mode. Probably should still have damage potential though, being the DODS and being used by the AGE-1 and all.

I really wonder how the Largan's Genoace is going to deal damage though? Maybe they'll give him Beam Spray Gun III too..........

Its too bad that the HG AGE-1 still have no translation takers yet, I guess it just has generic statements for the moment. Fortunately we got one for the HG Gafran.

Wait. What's this about the Shaldoll? I haven't seen pics of those.

EDIT: Okay, did a quick search and that's the green G-Exes. My bad.

Also, would make sense to have the DOTS Rifle mass produced, since that's the only currently known beam weapon that can damage the UE.

Oh, and looking forward to see the Zedas in action in the next episode.

Well he might get a Beam Spray Gun III or maybe a II. Also I was thinking maybe the improved Beam Spray Gun and the Marker Shot are made by the Age system it wouldn't be able to make enough equipment to gear up an army but as far as we know they're only going to have 2 Genoaces.

Well the DOTS rifle being massed produce makes sense and that does look alot like it but I would say it's pretty much a given that it will be watered down to the point it can't one and done a UE.

Ok, as of episode 3, the DODS rifle was shown firing more than 20 "beam magnum" rounds but not unlimited. I guess PzIVf3's screenshot of the UI only showed the DODS rifle fire mode.

After seeing episode 3, I've been thinking: Given the AGE Builder's ability to make equipment based on battle data, and the fact that the Zedas is supposedly 3 times faster than normal UE suits, and assuming the Baqto's bulkiness means they're some kind of heavy weapon type - could it be that the Spallow was designed to combat the Zedas, and the Titus the Baqto?

Possible, but AGE-1 Sparrow was shown only having the ninja knife and the Zedas flew around AGE-1 during Nora's evac battle, using its speed effectively and engaging only with its spam hand cannons. I guess AGE-1 Sparrow can use the DODS rifle and throw the knife...just once.

I just wild guessing, but I though the Spallow ^^ was design to be used for battles on the earth, or areas where higher gravitational forces are present. I mean most UE suits can fly within the colony when it was still operation, the Gundam and the Genocae were pretty much bound to the ground.
