Horizon Character Discussion - Kimi Aoi

Probably my favorite character early on in this series.

If Horizon's an eroge, she would be one of the hardest character to win over, and probably one that gives you the most satisfactions when you do (no pun intended).

after watching episode 9, I really want to know how she became she is now. Even her childhood self seems off... what happened to make her become that way at such a young age? or was she born with a violent streak in her?

Well I don't know how she thought shoving down a vast amount of spices, plastic (or glass?) containers down his mouth and further sticking her fist in until he was bleeding wasn't going to kill him... that doesn't seem like a very normal method of helping a relative regain their emotions.

I say both... But while Toori being messed up due to Horizon is justified, Kimi seems to have no reason for being "messed up" and is just is.

If the normal methods would help it would already worked, but nobody could snap Toori out of his depression otherwise it wouldn't have gotten to that point.

Besides, a little pain and blood is a small price to regain back your sense of self-preservation.

In Japanese media (Anime and RPGs, anyway), slapping or beating someone up whenever they're feeling down in order to snap them out of their depression is pretty common. Apparently lashing out at someone when they're feeling vulnerable is supposed to be the world's most effective form of therapy.

I kinda had the impression it's Kimi's fist which is bleeding since Toori was biting into it.
