This is quite a pickle. Keima's in an incredibly intimate situation with Chihiro only to find out she doesn't have the goddess. I have no idea how he's gonna get out of this one, he might not even be able to.

Well it's nice to have Mercury finally revealed, Wakaki's been teasing us readers for quite a while now. Gotta say though, I didn't expect her to look like an African tribal-woman.

Lune seems to be aware that Ayumi has the goddess too, that's not good. Hopefully her fate can be prevented unlike Kanon.

So this also means that Chihiro fell for Keima because of her willingness to follow through with her lingering feelings even after her capture was forgotten, perhaps some other capture targets doing the same wouldn't be so far-fetched now.

Next chapter is looking to be quite interesting.~

Everyone's all feeling sorry for Ayumi right now, but I'm foreseeing tears for Chihiro in the future. Sadly, unlike all the other girls, Chihiro doesn't have a goddess in her reflection explaining things to her and stuff. She has to deal with Keima's situation the way a normal person would, without any help from magic or other supernatural forces.

It's probably the first time that this has happened in the story.

Now that it's settled, I really think all he has to do is get Ayumi in a room with the other girls and let them sort it out. It's not like he has to capture her 100%. But first he has to get out of Chihiro's situation without having her suffer a mental breakdown....

I have actually been wondering if Lune's arrival was going to cause a situation where Chihiro indirectly got hurt and Mercury "swooped in" to try and save her.

Thus, Keima sees who Mercury is inside, Chihiro is hospitalized (and thus that whole scenario is put "on hold" but lights another fire under Keima the same way Kanon/Apollo did when she was hurt) and Kanon/Apollo is eventually re-awakened since Mercury would be "present"....

The thing is, that would lead to a (likely) downward spiral, as there would be NO WAY that Chihiro won't tell Ayumi how much of a dick Keima was... Which would lead to Ayumi avoiding Keima. And with Lune lurking around, that's the last thing Keima would want right now.

Well Keima is screwed. Chihiro loves him but doesn't have a Goddess. Ayumi has a Goddess but is heartbroken. And Lune is here looking for the goddesses.

Now how is the Great One is going to deal with this mess?

I know everyone... well a lot of people here, they feel sad about the reveal, and while I'm not usually an optimist, I'm sure things will turn out all right. I'm sure the characters will get through this. I mean, the last time something really dramatic happened was when Kanon confessed to Keima in front of the whole school and then got stabbed, but she survived. Okay, she is in a dead-like state, but still alive. So please, don't worry too much.
