Well, if you include extinct animals, then they could be quite powerful. You have the saber toothed tiger, woolly mammoth, and even dinosaurs. Right now, they are just trying to make her cute with the cat form. If she was serious, she would be able to use better animals.

well at least her cat form is more powerful than her bird form during the test when she and juvia VS erza... but wow, i wanna see her in those extinct animal forms that you mentioned... but technically according to how elfman get his take-over... means lisanna still have to go close to those animals? which are already extinct? than dammit i dun think she'll ever get to take over those :/

one thing she has a priviledge... there's only 1 demon, and 1 beast. but there's lots of animals! XD

But doesn't this world have various animal-people?

Lisanna could totally go out and find some kind of Toriko-esque mega creature, beat it, and get a "The Beast" or "Satan Soul" -level Take Over of her own.

While that may be true, what animals in Edolos did she see? Maybe there are some rare and OP animals we don't know about.

What she needs is something really useful and powerful, like bunny-soul. That way she can compete with Erza's bunny-requip.

That is true. When we saw Edolas, Natsu met that giant fish animal that also traveled on land. However, I think she would look really ugly if she transformed into that. Although, I think it was mentioned as filler, who is to say there are not a lot of other animals just as powerful in that world. On top of that, if she met a dragon, does it mean she can turn into one?

She does have a rabbit form. She first used it to build her and Natsu's house as a kid and she used it in the Erza fight too.
Although when she used it to fight she basically just rammed into her.

I think there was a giant frog or lizard in Edolas but Mirajane can already transform into a giant snake (Fantasia Parade) so we know there are other giant animals in Earthland. Although their are those Legion things Coco and Mystogan rode but they're only used by the army so she'd probably never got in contact with them.

Even if she met any animals in Edolas, she wouldn't be able to take them over because she couldn't use any magic there, remember? Just like that little predicament Natsu and Wendy were in?

I thought she just needed to meet them to remember for next time or something. The magic is becoming them.

My guess would be that 105 is 218+219, 106 is 220+221, 107 is 222, and 108 is 223+224.

But like that she can't take advantage of their supernatural abilities, just that normal animal's strength/speed. I mean, she could get bat wings but she wouldn't be a vampire. Her ability will probably evolve into Taking Over mythical creatures like her siblings - the non-beast and non-demon ones. Mirajane has Satan Soul and if she has any other forms they're probably Demon forms, Elfman is "manly" beasts, so I don't see a reason why Lisanna couldn't be something like an actual mermaid, harpy, siren, etc (Lamia's are demons so that would fall under Mirajane's territory - in fact, her current form is probably very close to a Lamia).

Let's say Lisanna is stuck to only creatures that are non-mythical. She could make herself into deadly poison snake scorpian or giant poison frog/scorpian hybrids. My point being she could do poison animals that are super rare and deadly.

I think the entire Fairy Tail guild doesn't have it in them, besides Laxus and his group, even then it's maybe.

That's pretty much why I said "technically". The situation I had in mind was using a partial fish take-over to get a mermaid's tail likely would not gain the whole "breathe underwater without gills" ability that most depictions of mermaids have.

What? To poison people, or to kill their opponent? Because if it's "kill people" I'm pretty sure that Erza at least has that resolve what with the whole "lead a slave revolt when she was a child" thing.

Erza, Laxus, Fried, Bickslow and possibly Mirajane (though maybe not anymore, she stopped herself from killing Fried so she can probably be pushed to kill) are probably the only ones with the balls to kill their opponent.
