Kotori-san's age will remain a mystery...no, it must REMAIN a mystery.

Besides, does it really matter? She could be in her 30's and she's still idol material. I mean there's....

Takane's origin is shrouded in a cloud of mystery. Most people assume she's from a foreign country due to her appearance but she cant speak (atleast) English at all, its to the point that its just silly and heart warming to watch/listen to her try.

She's not too tech savvy either. I dont think you can really see it in the anime but she's got one of those cellphones made for old people...y'know, the ones with HUGE buttons and the simply labeled "Call" and "End" button. *according to the "Marugoto iM@S FOR YOU!" Magazine*

Kotori's age seems 21 or 22, same with Azusa.

On the Hidaka girls:

They appeared in the DS game, damn for no export. But Ai appeared in the anime twice. In Ai's route, her rival is her mom, AFAIK. Can't read kanji yet :P.

If you look at the video, you'll see that Kotori-nee started her idol career at the age of 15, which was 13 years ago (the 3 is scrubbed to have it seem like 10 years ago). I would say this indirectly indicates Kotori-nee is 28 years old now.

I'd like to step in and ask that any description of hostile acts against any fictional character doesn't belong either here or in the social group. Any further descriptive acts will be edited/deleted on sight and the posters issued a warning or infraction depending on many times I've got to edit/delete posts.

I think it should, but since it is waifu discussion, you have an entire social group to indulge yourself (and Kotori).

What I was getting at is the hatred directed at the members of that other agency.

Why would someone even hate you for crying at that scene?

If I have to be completely honest, I was actually shipping Makoto x Hokuto too prior to episode 17. I was hopeing for that one scene from the game, but oh well Makoto x Producer x Miki works as well.

She's 29years old, maybe 30yrs old in the iM@S2 timeline but you get the point. All of her CDs she released in her early idol years ALL became a million seller and she attained the idol rank "S". After her daughter became a popular idol she made her comeback and shocked the media. Apparently she gets paid about 8,000,000yen (about $60,000) to appear on TV once. It was good, but somehow I felt like there was something missing, especially in the first halve of the episode. Animation was really good though, the whole episode had this kind of somber feel to it. We also have a get a new song which is used as the insert and ending of this episode. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's called Yakusoku. Oh and about the whole Kuroi and Jupiter business, I think that they're dragging this on for too long too. I mean they get like a scene of 20-sec or so every episode, but they're is still no real progression imo. Nothing of value would be lost if the studio had cut Jupiter out of this episode. Looks like we'll be getting either an all-star episode or another Chihaya episode next week. I think the former is more likely though. EDIT : Nevermind looks like we'll be getting a Kotori episode next week, I think. EDIT 2 : Okay after rewatching this episode, I think the thing that was missing were most likely the subs lol. I understood what happened most of the episode, but knowing what they really said made some moments more emotional. Plus the lyrics of Yakusoku are soo nice ;_;. It's good to see that the showrunners can read the mood, and did not play the opening this week. "CHANGE!!!" just would've felt out of place with the opening of the episode, the middle of the episode... the episode of the episode really. Haruka and Chihaya have a really interesting dynamic that seems to make them the center of any iM@S media. I think it's because both of them are trying not to fail. Haruka responds with boundless energy, Chihaya by going in the exact opposite direction. Yet, they can understand each other. The new INS starting off with everyone reassuring Chihaya was a great touch, with her bringing it home. I usually say that serious episodes don't give me much to talk about. This is still true. But it was well done, and with the plotline finally out in the open, not only can Chihaya get moving again, everyone else can too. Looking at the cast list and recounting past episodes, I think everyone's gotten their time in the spotlight. Except for maybe Haruka. Whatever lies ahead in these final five will change the future.

Kamui04 Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2010	Spoiler for Ep. 20 comments: The scene where Chihaya was reading the letter from Haruka explaning how everyone wrote the lyrics for a new song and waiting for her to sing it and smile like the Chihaya drawn in her brother's pictures brought me to tears. But OMG! The last part with the concert, and everyone going on stage to cheer and sing Yakusoku with Chihaya made me cry like a little girl T_T. So strong is the bonds between our precious idols. Well i say that this is Chihaya and Haruka's spotlight. I saw great characterization on this episode, far surpassed others episode. Haruka really shows why she is the leader of the group. Her optimism and "good samaritan" is the quality of the leader, one that can drives others move forward. And for the last, Chihaya really is group's best singer. The way others sings Yakusoku, and she herself sings Yakusoku is different. Good job, A-1, for making the difference really shines through. Great episode... Handsclap for this episode... Lastly... Yeah, Chihaya, let go of the burden in your chest, so you can get out of that 72 number... @papermario Crying is fine... Crying is free... And of course, crying is not forbidden...
