^Whoa, is that for real? I didn't expect to this would be uncensored in the BD/DVD since the original manga censored it in the first place. The BD version of episode 19 should be interesting, fufufu...

Well I was certainly surprised, since this isn't the kind of show that needs to pull these sort of tactics to increase sales. Just got my BD today and had to verify this right away and well... the 1080p shots say everything:

Funny enough, the booklet and back cover of the volume has the censored ver. of the third shot. Deceitful advertising.

Bonus for the fangirls:

Damn, Awashima is hot. And what do you know, I saw a few screencaps of the latest episode and it looks like we won't have to wait for the BDs to see some Hagoromo Gistune nipples. Very surprising.

I watched episode 20 yesterday, and I was awestruck by Rajomon's depiction. The artistic direction of this anime is definitely stunning. It's one of those rare anime series that gives justice to the manga art.

No, but I figured they'd like to see that scene in 1080p.

The anime has always been rather good at adapting the manga designs and aesthetics, which was one of the things that drew me to it in the first place.

Sadly as nice as Rajomon was, I felt like the whole of episode 20 was missing something, cause it felt... a little bland. The overall directon/execution just ddin't have the same feel as the previous episodes.

So... Hagoromo-Gitsune finally has the child.
This was a pretty dark episode.
Flashbacks were good though.
Rikuo vs Hagoromo-Gitsune...

Rikuo vs Hagoromo-Gitsune... the sequel.
Guess she has a human side too, just suppressed.
Everyone still fighting all over the place.
Yura sure did her part to Hagaromo-Gitsune too.
So the kid is so NOT a kid, but Seimei sure is way worse than his mother.
Can't wait for next episode!!

Ok, I can sort of understand the school girl outfit, but is there an explanation for why HG carries a bag around as well, even while fighting?

It is not a bag. It is THE bag.
She even carries it while unconscious... seriously, she does...

Serious answer: Hagu-chan cares about her looks and probably thought that the school bag fit her image... not to mention that she has some of her weapons stored there.

Can I say how impressed I am with DEEN? Seriously, this is probably one of their best TV series in a long, long time. I'm just amazed how much effort they're putting into this season. It's so much better than their normal standard.

The designs are great, the adaptation of the source is pretty good and the actual animation has more effort than most of their recent series. Sure it's not brilliant all the time but they deliver it very well when it counts. At the very least there's certainly far more animation and nicer direction than the first season ever had.

Hell, this episode trumps anything the entire first season by production standards alone. That scene with Hagoromo Gitsune with a pinned down Rikuo and the falling shards was so freakin pretty to look at with how they handled the lighting and everything. Yura activating Hagun was marvelous too. They even bothered to animate Gashadokuro in proper 2D for his final showdown with Aotabo. I could hardly believe this is DEEN's work.

This was definitely a well done episode. Gives you a "hey what!?" Response when she called out "father" when they finally got that hit in on her. Not sure if she's Rikuo's biological sister since some of what was said makes it sound like she was a girl Rihan found and raised. Still if that's the case she was certainly a good choice for someone to reincarnate that'd be able to attack the 2nd heir.

Anyways some great action there. Took a lot to get a hit in on that girl but they finally did it. Of course they needed help from those memories to shake her enough for it to work. A kind of funny moment that after all those years of work she just gets dumped to hell afterwards .

Too bad for Mamiru though, that's pretty much a fatal injury there .

I had actually forgotten about it until I read this post It's really hitting the climax though, and it's definitely much better than ever before.

OMG! He broke Rikuo's sword!
Now, that's one strong guy.
The history of the whole thing was really interesting.
The truth was finally revealed.
Great episode!
