And a late happy B-day from me too, although it's only been two years, it's the only forum that has kept me for so long, makes me wish I had joined sooner

I was going to wait until later to post this, but since the announcement for the date already came up, I figured there would be no problem doing it now. The 26 is not that far away for our friends on the other side of the world, either.

Tomorrow (Mexico time for me) the forum will be 9 years old and we have been able to go this far all thanks to the people (that's you) that have become a part of this community.

With a bit of luck, the Mayans will guess it wrong and we will be here next year to celebrate the Birthday of the forum once again.

I'll be back again on the 26th for the official greeting, but man, 9 years already? This is one fine community.

With a bit of luck, the Mayans have already predicted what will happen in the years 5000 and beyond, so not to worry about the baseless 2012 predictions.

Actually technically the site (torrent index part) and not the forum will be 9 years old.

The torrent index originally started as a thread (there were that few anime torrents to keep manually track of then) on another site (called The Emulator Zone). The forum as we know it today didn't split of from the other site as a separate forum until AnimeSuki was a bit more popular.

So based on how you see it, the forum is either older (start of the thread in ~October 2002) or younger (a few months into 2003, when it was split from the other site).

This is also explains why my registration date is from 2001, as when the forum was split of the user list was kept.

..though it's a bit early in my neck of the woods for that.

Wow, I can see it's a great satisfaction to see how it has grown even a novice, well summarized.

the best and already knew the forum, but as in the past the English did not interest me, so I registered so far. lol
