Hmm, if I remember clearly I could only maintain that size and quality using that size.
Any bigger would seriously affect the quality. And the fading is takes 2 frames. 1 frame would make the fade really unnoticeable.

It is better if you can provide an image then your request can be filled a lot easier and sooner.
