BTW, it's cool to see more reptilian zoans. I wonder if Pekoms uses armor haki to make the turtle shell as hard as diamond? If so, that would probably mean he has the greatest non-logia defensive ability next to Jozu.....

Oh, and of course, I also wouldn't doubt that our furry friend has an Awakened form, as well.

well smoker now have new bigger jutai (?).

Did you fall sleep during the Amazon Lily arc?

Mihawk already found it troublesome to teach a fellow pirate who he held in somewhat high regard (due to Zoro's display of honor and such) so I highly highly doubt he would teach her. Not to mention the fact that she would most likely try to arrest Zoro rather than be a fellow student...

to be honest amazon lily arc still have some "interesting" and "diverse" body design. it just for now Oda use hourglass body template and change their head. this kinda done before time skip. but now we have 3 or more girl will roughly same body and long hair.

sure as time goes one people more mature and so does the body. but i do hope oda bit more creative

i just miss my tomboy short hair girl

to be honest teaching Zoro and Tashigi probably easy. Mihawk so a technique. then they told both of them to copy. or he just make crazy exercise and and let them do it while he sipping a coffee behind the window.

and aim for Tashigi is not arresting Zoro (that Smoker which one to capture luffy) she just want to defeat him. beside now way Tashigi can capture Zoro by herself. smoker wont be there since he have his own business (in fact he probably order her to go for training for preparation to go to new world) and pretty sure Tashigi go to there solely for training

Marco would like to have a word with you on that one

I'm kinda irritated tho, it didnt look like Pekoms was able to use any movement, let alone offensive one, while "turtling", thats obviously an extremely large downside, compared to jozu, who actually can punch stuff with his enhanced defense.

Also, with the power he displayed, there shouldnt be an issue in dodging the bullets, rather than using his DF and doing basically nothing while in his shell. So i take it for now, that Oda just used that to show us what interesting DF Pekoms had... really wondering how he will go about that turtle=| movement stuff once we see him fight seriously (which I don't doubt, seeing the latest turn of events)

He has a shell, so he can hide his legs and tail. And since this is a member of one of the Emperors we're talking about, who happens to have a bounty of 330 million, Pekoms being in possession of a Mytho Zoan Devil Fruit works well.

A higher bounty doesn't equal being stronger, never has.

Y'know, that reminds me..... for a long time I've clung to the theory that Zoro's final opponent in the series wouldn't be Mihawk or whoever replaces him as the greatest swordsman, but Tashigi. Somehow, I just find it fitting for his final battle to be against the one who reminds him so much of his departed rival.....

That being said, I highly doubt that Mihawk trained Tashigi (why would a marine seek help from a pirate when she could have her senior officers train her instead?). I'm also sure that she managed to level up considerably after spending some time in the NW with Smoker.

And back to Pekoms.... heh, while I would have cited Marco as an example of an ultimate defensive power, I kinda consider him to be a special case since he's able to heal himself. Also, we can't be sure that he's immobile while in turtle mode. After all, since it was possible for some CP9 members (well, just Jyabura, really) to move around while using a defensive technique like Tekkai, then I see no reason why Pekoms' power would hinder his mobility.

As for being a Tarasque zoan..... while that's definitely a unique idea, I'm a bit unsure about that. I mean, he COULD be one, but that would most likely make him a dragon-type user, and I sort of doubt that Oda would make multiple dragon fruits (just like how I kinda doubt that we'd see a Fenghuang zoan since we already have the phoenix). I think it's more likely that Pekoms is a plain ol' turtle zoan, but it's not like Oda can't make references to the Tarasque with some of his techniques.....

.
Mihawk is more marine sided instead being a pirate. i am pretty sure Tashigi don't have problem with him. beside who is better teacher than the greatest swordsman in the world

Well, this was an okay chapter. There weren't any real stand out moments (the best was Nami complimenting Luffy on being a man, before viciously beating him), but the chapter was still quite solid. It's nice to see Smoker (and I guess Tashigi), and the continued history of the original Fishmen pirates is interesting (not only is Big Mama a Furry, but she likes all the woodland and sea critters). But, ultimately, this was a filler chapter. (I say that not to overly critique this week's chapter; we are currently in between arcs, so of course the chapter will feel a little less fulfilling compared to previous and future chapters.)

It's not a matter of it being easy or hard, it's a matter of personality. Mihawk is already NOT the type to take in something like disciples, taking Zoro was already a stretch...taking a weaker marine is an even longer stretch. Also don't forget, Mihawk is a pirate, allied to the WG yes, but still a pirate, doubt there's much marine love there. Just doesn't sound right to me.

Just because she used a technique we've seen Mihawk use, doesn't mean she learned it from him...

I'm so excited to see Smoker again. I can't wait to get a good view of his new look. I like the little we've seen (the shades!).

Me too. Caribou just strikes me as the type of guy who'd work under Doflamingo. It's probably his viciousness and his constant grin that makes me think that.

of course this is just speculation, anything can be wrong

then again i do think mihawk don't mind to let Tashigi to do zoro practice. is not like the practice is they battle mihawk everyday. probably something like mihawk show how to vut the rock and ask them to copy.

reason being why he let tashigi do that is because he want to see next generation of swordsman. if they are stronger than him. he must be proud

also i dont think Oda give Tashigi bullet bending and simply saying "oh she actually learn it from other pirate not mihawk". that is soo not oda-like

in fact probably zoro loss eye becouse of tashigi.

anyway thats my crack theory

It was also said that the whole team of marines with Tashigi were specialists at stopping cannon fire...so does that mean they learned it from Mihawk too?

Saying it now then, if:

A- Zoro lost his eye to Tashigi
B- Mihawk taught Tashigi along with Zoro
C- "Bullet bending" techniques are Mihawk only
D- All of the above

I will personally quit OP, because Oda clearly died and was replaced by a lesser being without our knowledge :|

You say that like it is a bad thing. I am eagerly awaiting the return of DoFlamingo, the hippiest cat (with the best fashion sense) on the Grand Line
