Kusanagi Godou, a 16 year old boy who played in the senior league as catcher and fourth hitter - that is, the cleanup - when he was in Junior High. However, an injury put an end to baseball.

Though that was not the end for him. During the spring break of his third ,and last year in Junior High, he got involved in an adventure and ended up slaying one of the Heretic Gods, Verethragna. Thus, he became the youngest - and seventh - Campione.

Now that he is a Campione, a godslayer, the young Godou must defeat the troublemaking gods, with the help of his followers!

The story is good btw, about a boy who killed a god and inherit/take the god powers (Yes, powers. There are more than 1 power). It has a lot of gods mentioned and combined with the harem genre it's kinda like DxD.

Btw, isn't his name supposed to be Godou? Why is it Mamoru in your synopsis?

Was doing decent translation during summer. It was the teaser for V5, prologue+chapter 1+ bit of chapter 2 and the beginning of volume 3.

Though he could, for some reason, it seems that the author doesn't want him to get new powers, by finding excuses such as "he beated the god with help" and such things. Which is kinda the opposite of a MC who keeps powering up at each volume.

Yeah, rather than getting new power it's more like he's trying to use and master all the power he has.

Well, perhaps the author just confused about what other power to add if Godou were to have a new power, since he has quite a lot already lol.

Actually, the fact that he has 10 forms now is quite enough for the author to settle with the battle scenes. If Godou received powers from all the gods he defeated, he'd had like 17-18 powers right now, which would be pretty useless since 10 is enough. Rather than have a power that you use once and forget about it, why not just do some quality work with the 10 that are already there?

Well, his disadvantage is that he can only use every power once a day, so having more is always welcome. Although I have to admit, if Godou play his card right then he doesn't need to add any other power to his arsenal.

Btw, the main character seems to kiss every girls he met in the story. What a man-whore.

So comparing Godou and the other Campione. Godou only kill 1 god power with 10 ability while the other Campione which kills about 4 to 5 gods and only have 4 to 5 ability, doe that mean it not how many gods you kill, it how powerful the god you killed. Cause i remember reading from another forum that Godou can fight pretty equally to other Campione with just the one god power. I do hope down the track he does take the power of other gods.
