Bah, doesn't compare to Front mission's Wanzer's realness, Tanks and Chopper give them a run for their money, but Wanzers win in a tight space being more versatile.

Metal gears is supposed to be nuclear weapon platform anyway

I believe it's varies from 400 (ByakuShiki Setsura) to 800 (AkaTsubaki), I don't know how that supposed to work, but that's about the range.

My fanon has different take on it.

The floating thing works as booster, cable launcher AND rail gun mounting.

My theory: Ichika coat Yukihira with Absolute Defense, that bypass the normal shield and able to break through enemy's Absolute Defense because the energy density of Yukihira is higher, despite it has inferior amount of energy.

@eras: It doesn't damage the shield. It bypasses the shield and triggers absolute defense which in turn drains the shield, a lot. a way of looking at it is that it doesn't hurt the shield but goes right through it. (Osmosis to anyone familiar with the term).

@zero: do you feel that the AIC is way too ambiguous in what it does?
