I've heard 90% of her roles in the past year. I haven't liked a single one of them. That's not her fault, but... it's not encouraging. Kikaijima is my favorite character.

Thats a matter if you don't like the actress becuse certain character she did or because they happen to be very similar, mind Rie Kugimiya and Aki Toyosaki . But guess what, both they have done good jobs voicing different character archetypes.

Aww, I've always had Yui Horie in my mind when it came to Mogana, though Ai Kayano should be fine. Kouki and Shiranui's voices are a good fit.

Despite having Kuribayashi not appearing in Accel World, I still encourage her to appear in Medaka Box. I would love to hear Medaka with a Toyosaki's femme fatale voice.

This thread sure was a fun read.

But err.. as someone who hasn't read the manga, I got all lost as to if this show is something worth looking forward to or not. IS IT GOOD OR IS IT NOT ?_?

Don't know if I would recommend the manga version or not, but as someone else said, the beginning of the manga is slightly terrible, but it gets better and better as the story progress.

yeah, it's a pretty good series.

Anyway, I'm hearing this is going to start airing on April 4th (which is on a Wednesday), and it will have a midday (or around that time) TV slot.

Yes and no. I guess I'd describe it as being bad in a really, really good way.

It's a good manga but the anime won't show it. Imagine this, Kenshin fans everywhere raving about the Kyoto arc and how this is the best battle manga ever.. and than they animate the Tokyo arc with all those filler episodes and end it with the JinE fight. (No Aoshi fight) People seeing all the hype from the manga will wonder what drugs people were on to hype it up so much...

Tada, the Medaka Box anime. The Kyoto Arc (aka the this shit is getting real damn good) equivalent is the Kumagawa arc, unless WSJ are pushing this out like Bakuman no matter the sales than we'll never see it animated. Even if this is split cour and they shove the first lengthy arc into the second half it still won't be anywhere near it's best. Medaka Box found it's groove with the Kumagawa arc, rankings, sales and general opinion attest to this. It masqueraded as something at first and than turned into something else before finding this groove that is worthy of Nisio.

Blah, that sounds depressing. I'm going to try to be hopeful anyway, especially since WSJ could probably use the money given several of their more popular manga are quickly heading towards their final arcs, and they still have no real replacement for the giant that is One Piece. (Fortunately shonen series tend to take forever even going towards their final arcs, but I doubt they'll find a replacement for OP in 2 or 3 years and will probably need to use a number of series in anime and manga form to replace that soon-to-be-lost income.)
