You just answered yourself about the adequancy of material for 2nd season. Typically, a 1 cour anime season consist of 3 novel volume, which IS anime seems to follow, so yes, vol 5-7 is more than enough for a 1 season run since it's more or less have the same amount of content as vol 1-3. I really doubt they will make a season 2 anime before vol 8 release date is announced though.

I looked at the tweets and the links from Izuru's twitter account (rather than the quoted 2ch posts). The announcement is merely about the iPhone voice scheduler app. Izuru in fact got an iPhone just for that. And he did mention that it was not really a big announcement immediately after the post that says there's going to be a big announcement. The first post in that blog, as Silver Talon had translated in part of his quote, was merely a speculative post from poster 904.

I have to critize the label "important announcement" because... I really hoped for a second season (which would doable as long as the events in the 7 volume are distributed correctly, and also, would have been cool because of the sarashiki sisters introduction), or for the 8° volume

I didn't want to comment on it originally, but I totally agree. Though I'm not sure whether you are referring to the posters in 2ch or Izuru, since Izuru started the trolling first. Though he corrected himself at the end. I guess if I go and dig out his past tweets and translate all of them (assuming he didn't delete them), it might shed some light on why and how he ended in such a state. Of course, there are probably other reasons as well which are not out in public, but still......
