Bittorrent client recommendation for Mac

Currently using Transmission but as of late I have been having stability problems.

utorrent was my old standby on Windows, but seems to have developed quite a reputation for adware - as has the official BT client.

Vuze (another well-known old guard Windows client) is also adware infested ...

Any recommendations?

I use the official client on Windows and I don't see any ad. I assume the same to be true for utorrent, which is the basis for the official client.

Just make sure you don't install any toolbar during the installation if you don't want it.

PS: Despite the toolbar controversy, utorrent and Vuze still seem very popular from what I can tell from the peers connected to me. :x

Well, like I said, I use the official client and I have had no problem with ad. But I understand if you don't trust it or utorrent enough to try either of them on OS X.

uTorrent has some adware, but its still a lightweight and solid client. It's not like they are forcing you to have buy their premium whatever. I recommend uTorrent, just don't install the toolbar.

rTorrent + Nativa looks a lot like Transmission. When I was still using my linux box as a torrent server, I used kTorrent and it seems like there is a Mac version.

What problems are you having with Transmission? The latest version is rock-solid for me...

I'm using qBittorrent on Windows but it also has Mac and Linux versions.

It's pretty similar to uTorrent in the UI and options.
