Cool To Watch list, help me expand?

I'm looking to expand my anime experience, ^^ I adore shows like Spice and Wolf, Cowboy Bebop, Nanoha, Burst Angel, FMA (both reg and brotherhood) and Usagi Drop..

That is by no means the limit of what I watched but I'm just curious on shows that other people have watched that are somewhat like these (if ya'll don't mind adding your two cents here )

Here's my list for what are you looking for :

Puella Magi Madoka Magica : Considering you have watched Nanoha, try this one : the first two episodes and most of episode 3 are light-hearted, but something unexpected didn't happen until the few last minutes of episode 3, which will makes it a dark anime. It has 12 episodes.

OreImo : A lighthearted romantic comedy about a highschool boy who suddenly learn his little sister's secret. It has 12 episodes + 3 OVA.

Durarara!! : Has large yet diverse cast, has right amount of comedy with lot of action and mystery surrounding the city of Ikebukuro. It has 24 episodes + 3 OVA.

Student Council's Discretion : Another lighthearted romcom. This one involves a boy with superiority complex who enters student council body that is consisted of four girls. It has 12 episodes.

AnoHana : A romantic drama about a group of six friends (3 boys and 3 girls) who knows each other but one of them dies in a car accident and become a ghost. Because of that dramatic event, the group separates. Many years later, the leader of the group try to reunite his childhood friends. It has 11 episodes.

Clannad : Another romantic drama who is loved by many. A highschool boy suddenly encounters a desperate yet nice girl who suddenly falls in love with him. It has 2 seasons consisted of 24 episodes each + some OVA.

I'd say you should give Puella Magi Madoka Magica a try along with Seirei no Moribito for starters. You also might enjoy Ikoku Meiro no Croiseé since you liked Usagi Drop. One other possibility might be Cross Game; despite appearances, it's about a lot more than baseball.

If you're in the mood for a serious drama, try Monster.

All of these are available as free, licensed streams in the US.

All the portraits in my signature point to shows I'd recommend. Some of them, like Nodame Cantabile, are only available as fansubs.

I've seen PMMM, Definitely one of my favorites..Moribito I have not seen yet and I've never heard of Ikoku Meiro no Croiseé...Both are going straight to my to-watch

Monster looks like it might be good as well..

Thanks for replying both of you!!

You can try Kimi to Boku, since you appear to like slice of life/comedy animes. A relaxing watch about 5 high school boys and their antics. Also, Recorder to Randsell. Only 3 minutes per episode, but I guarantee you will laugh. The misunderstandings caused by the siblings' height is amusing and entertaining.

You can also give Trinity Blood, Black Cat, and Gunslinger Girl a try, if you wish for animes with more action and drama.

Spice and Wolf = Ano Natsu de Matteru, not exactly the same but they have this supernatural feeling to it and series are more serious.

Cowboy Bebop = never watched it but I heard that Samurai Champloo is from the same author.

Nanoha magica = Madoka Magica (have very similar setting up). Madoka is darker though. On a lighter note you can try out Shugo Chara.

Burst Angel = since it's mecha you can try Full Metal Panic and Code Geass.

FMA = Soul Eater, D.Gray Man, Baccano!, Inuyasha, Sword of the Stranger, Toaru Majutsu no Index. The shows are not FMA level but I think you should be able to find something of your taste in this list. D.Gray Man probably has the most similarities. Busou Renkin also deals with alchemy and homonculus but in a very different way.

Usagi Drop = Air, AnoHana, Aria series, Clannad, Kanon 2006. Same, not exactly the same thing but something could work for you.

Hope this helps.

If one of the things you enjoyed about Usagi Drop was the sequences with Daikichi's extended family, I suggest you watch the movie Summer Wars. I actually liked these parts of the film better than the main plot about an MMORPG video game run amok.

I'd second Seirei no Moribito and Ikoku Meiro no Croiseé.

Also I'd suggest Katanagatari, it's similar in spice and wolf, how it's focused on the 2 mains' journey, with plenty of interesting dialogue, and fantasy setting.

You like Bunny Drop and Spice and Wolf, so I'd suggest some shows like Cross Game and Maison Ikkoku.

On the more action oriented side I'd suggest Crest of the Stars, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Katanagatari, and Chrono Crusade
