oh saikano.... don't watch it alone or on a cloudy day.

moving fast, but entertaining while they're doing it. can't really ask for much more from a straight up action series.

Just few bullet points for those who are curious about the actual manga:

Spoiler for quick comparison. Zetman Manga Chap 1-22/23:

-They basically skipped a part where Jin "saved" a business man from a theft, but of course was rebutted when he asked 10K yens
-Agami's search for Kanzaki and "The ZET" were more thorough and visible
-Konoha actually helped people from the slums with her mother during the childhood part.
-Konoha had a single meeting with Jin, the former gave some food to the latter, while Jin showed her his angel ring and his prowess.
-Kanzaki's death and Akemi's assault were "more or less" merged: Actually, Jin was supposed to be with Kanzaki when the sharp tongue player showed up. The latter died differently (won't reveal it, as it might be spoiler later on). Akemi was actually assaulted by some guy taking her as his bitch, and this is where Jin unleashed his ZET power (yep, on a normal human)
-Actual interaction between that "Knight" like Sweeper Player and Agami, leading to more screentime for Agami's objective.
-Some more details about Jin's "job" with gangs and all.
-Kouga never met Jin in the childhood portion. He actually met Jin the first time during the arson segments.

Most alteration make sense and don't exactly pose any problem (save potentially how the tongue player died). That said, while they did cut a sizable part of Jin development, they added a good one for Kouga.

In the end they removed all the gore and decided not to mix Kouga's and Jin's personal stories. I was like "wtf, they just skipped 50 chapters? 0_o" at first

Glad Akemi is safe. Too bad Jin can't see her anymore. Screw what Amagi says, he should have gone to see her at least. Seems like they're keeping Kanzaki alive somehow. Like how Konoha told Kouga off about it sense of justice. Maybe the necklace is the key to getting jin to complete the transformation.

Kouga sure trains really hard, but no matter how hard he trains he'll never be on Jin's level.
Jin's ZET form is really nice and awesomely strong even tough it's still incomplete.
While Kouga has it all (but struggles with his hero principles and desires), Jin lost/had to give up everything..
The new info about the monsters and their creators was really interesting.
I have a feeling like Jin just signed the deal with the devil...

Saw the episodes so far.

For me, it’s like the maker of this series just saw Tiger & Bunny and said “hey, we have Zetman manga! Let’s pull a Tiger & Bunny out of it!”. The anime (so far) is quite a cheerful adaptation compared to the manga. Still, if you ask me whether the anime is more entertaining than the manga, so far, I’d say yes.

Please dont hate me for saying this..... but so far it is a very generic shounen anime.

We have monsters: check
we have a strong hero: check
Hero needs to improve his skill: check
hero protects helpless women: check

and so on and so forth....

I cant say I am impressed. I have seen all of this before and somehow I dont even feel like watching the next episode, because guess what it will be about? Jin will have to go through hell, because he agreed to it and because something could happen to his obaa san, if he doesnt.

Would the anime be better, if they included the gore? I have my doubts about it. Unless something original happens soon, this is recycled material.

Now that the "prologue" seems to be over, I'm hoping they're going to slow down a bit.

I was amazed Akemi not only survived, but was actually completely unharmed. I guess this show is not quite as dark as I thought.

which means that they'll utterly skip the very dark Jirou arc. Which is kind of a shame, as the Jirou arc pretty much was a mirror to Jin's little experience at the Amagi mansion, where Kouga's idea of "justice" was tested to the very limit.

What a waste, I really hope we won't miss out on an entire arc...can't really blame anyone though, that kind of stuff can't be aired no matter how much you censor it.

It's possibly the most important arc in the entire series, laids foundation to Kouga's character and motives, and all the expose play major role in the later arcs.... they can't possibly skip it and still be Zetman.

I hope they simply relocated the arc's timeline, otherwise.... skipping that arc is a guarantee trainwreck.
Heavily censored and cut is just fine, but entire omission would be a terrible idea.

Well, if you see it from “entertainment” POV, then it’s not that bad (so far). Here, we have root-able characters, decent artwork and animation, engaging fights, and enjoyable (not Good) story.
