By the way, am I introducing too many characters at once? I feel that ther are too many at once in some parts.

That's 8 in about 6 chapters (7 including the Prologue).

For my guys (Alpha Squad), they have a bit of variety into them, but all four of them are interested in Shooters in general. Individually, it would be broken down like this:

Eric:
Action/Adventure
Role Playing
Motorcycle Racing

Eddie:
Platformers
Fighting
Stealth Action (like Metal Gear Solid)

Brian:
Puzzles (Particularly Columns)
Real Time Strategy (Particularly Command And Conquer Red Alert series)
