After watching 3 eps tbh I find the series to be frustrating - it has what I regard as beautiful visuals and some absolutely beautiful BGM (I also really like the OP), but somehow the execution of the story feels disjointed and somehow "cardboardy" for lack of a better word. I want to like the series more than I am, but somehow every ep something rudely yanks me out of the ep once or twice.

I guess I will put the series on hold ftm and steamroll the eps later.

That was pretty cool. Got goosebumps when the OP from the game kicked in. The whole execution of the episode was pretty cool and I hope they keep this momentum. Xiao-Mei will have larger role next episode, can't wait. ^^

Well after actually watching the episode we still haven't kick start the real meat of the story even with the introduction of the mysterious bishoujo character. There was a hint that something was about to go down with the pirates, but that 'crisis' was quickly averted.

And quite frankly, I don't think I can take another montage of Rick baking bread while his girls sells/gives them to the townsfolk -_-;

Just to be sure- This was an RPG game right ?

Chiwa Saitou did a good job in Shining Wind as the dangerously mischievous Houmei. It'll be good to hear her performance as Xiao-Mei Rin in this series too.

Yes....Not as fast paced as Blade but still it's not bad if you can endure past the endless bread work at the start

Chiwa Saitou did a good job in Shining Wind as the dangerously mischievous Houmei. It'll be good to hear her performance as Xiao-Mei Rin in this series too.

Chiwa Saitou is the only one suitable to be my sweet Rin-chan's voice....

Just as Cosmic Eagle stated. It concentrates on delivery and bread making but there is a story and fights are present. It features a wonderful cast of characters as well.

Episode 3 was okay; it was better than the previous two, but not something I'd consider 'good'. However, that should all change for the better now that my favourite character (Kaguya) has been introduced.
