That is a very good glimpse into the traverlers perspective. The basic particle physics is well known, so you can calculate what should happen if relativity is true and... it does.

Alternatively, spacecraft with good clocks.

Actually it has been proven. http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...iv/airtim.html

Time slows down as you near the speed of light. It's only really hard to observe at speeds we're familiar with. Simple experiment concept would be to take 2 atomic clocks set for the same time. put one in a jet and set one on the earth. Have the jet simply fly at high speeds for like 10 revolutions around the Earth. Now compare the times the atomic clocks show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_dilation

My antivirus software is about to expire. McAfee annoys the crap out of me, the only reason I'm using it is because someone gave it to me for free. But I am planning to change it. I am undecided between Karpersky and Norton.

This is compares antivirus software: http://www.av-comparatives.org/. I find it kinda hard to understand but if you want in-depth comparisons, here's a purportedly third-party set of tests.

Anyways, I've never used Karpersky, but Norton, I think, does a really good job at finding and removing or quarantining viruses. As an alternative, I'd look into MalwareBytes. It's free and among my favorite.

Now for an amusing story. A friend of mine was using a pirated Windows 7 that came with McAfee. After installing the OS and booting it up, McAfee decided that it found a virus. Not exactly unexpected for pirated software. Unfortunately, one of the files it found was critical for McAfee to run. Well the antivirus died as a result. He's never really liked McAfee since.

I'd choose Karpersky over Norton any day for your 2 options.

For me:
Microsoft Security Essential
MalwareBytes
Firefox Ad-blocker
Dr. Delete or File Assassin

Used to use AVG but MSE takes up way less memory and processing. It's also pretty darn fast at scanning.

I believe that special relativity is actually a small problem for satellites looking at the earth because they have to adjust for the slight time difference.

Exactly: the faster you move the slower time passes for you. The effect is very subtle at our speeds but it is measurable, plenty of others have told you how it can be done even.

If you want a much better take on the subject than what I can give I'll direct you to the amazing works of Carl Sagan in the Cosmos mini-series, in particular the bit about precisely travelling at the speed of light.

<-- My current avatar is a chibi (the original character is not though).

Edit:
Yes, that's Lan.
Chibi (in anime and manga art) is the style of drawing characters in a deformed way, with big heads and small bodies.

Does anyone know what is the name of this flower? Bought it for my mum and I do not wish to be accused of being ignorant if she asks me about the flower.
