There is no solid evidence of that sort of connection between these two series. Let us just wait for the author's final word on this.

@thundrakkon: Don't worry. They will have more new members soon and some old ones as well. Any further details would be spoilers.

Is it just me or is Haru getting shorter each episode?

I'm not sure how VRS would work. Especially since I'm sure Chiyu would want her first to be the one she truly loves (Haru) rather than the one she just ended up dating (Taku), whether it be real or not, but I sincerely doubt she'd agree to virtual with HIS avatar. At least I hope she wouldn't. Catgirl + pig on his hind legs, that's an image I don't want to think about. Not to mention they're 13-year-olds.

I was a little surprised by Haru when he and Taku demonstrated the power of BL(sorry). I mean, even if Chiyu supposedly isn't terribly quick on the uptake, never say something like "with this even you should underst--(of course you'd never finish that line)".

I still like Chiyu and wish she could be happy; too bad it's clear that Haru is completely taken. All I can hope is that Taku can eventually find a way to truly and completely redeem himself, and manage to help Chiyu move on.

Also, I was surprised by the sudden flash here. Since they'd cut out some shots that had even been fully illustrated in the LN/manga, I didn't expect them to just suddenly show scenes where there wasn't a skirt in the way.

BL, uh... KYH seems to be thinking the same thing. And going yandere about it.

Now that people have been mentioning points, can someone help me out here?

Is it just me or is the system fundamentally broken?

You lose points in this game by:
- Burst linking
- Losing duels
- Leveling up
- Physical Full burst.

You gain points in this game by:
- winning duels.

The problem that I'm seeing is that when you win the number of points you gain is the same as the number of points your opponent loses. I.e. same level = +10/-10 or level 9 vs level 1 = +2/-2. Which means, it's a zero sum game. The total number of points in the system never actually changes.

This is great except the system also has measures to prevent point inflation i.e. charging burst points for burst link and leveling up which permanently remove points from the system.

The only influx of new points in this system is when a new player joins and starts off with 50? new points. So unless, there are always large numbers of players joining the game, the number of burst points is just slowly decreasing in total to 0. On top of that, the number of newbies that have to be sacrificed to level someone from just 8 to 9 is ridiculous!

Am I totally wrong in this thinking? Or is there a missing plot device?

True, but I can't think of a better word.

The problem with Haru is that he places KYH on a very high pedestal. As such, he feels unworthy of her love until he reeaches her level. Then again, his self esteem is valid reason why he is still hesitant.

It depends on the level difference. If lower level as in 3 or more below, I'd say a few thousand. If close to her level or higher, then hundreds.

They number of Burst points someone starts with is 100 and in Vol. 2 a different method is introduced how to earn points besides fighting.
Spoiler for Method:

Well it is total immersion and direct neural stimulation....

Also...I know the oldest player is 16 at most but damn...Blue Knight's voice...

Haru, of course the bodyguard is a girl, how to build harem with guys?

so Taku really is plotting something, cant help but suspect his failure on informing Haru about the level-up conditions

This are spoilers for future arc. Please removed it before the mods gets to you.

The pointing system of Aw is indeed ridiculously absurd. Since a newbie has only 100 points and every access of the program makes you loose points but please remember that this is not your conventional fighting game. it's a twisted vrmmorpg game.
