Gilgamesh basically acts in a similar manner in Hollow Ataraxia (a more "jerk with a heart of gold" stock character when he's in adult form). I don't prefer that characterization, but since Nasu wrote him like that in Ataraxia, it's canon. CCC Gilgamesh looks going exactly into the same direction (closer to his Prototype Version).

I prefer Gen's Gilgamesh in Zero.

I haven't watched nor read Fate/zero, nor did I played Hollow Atraxia. I want to know what makes Nasu's Gilgamesh different with Gen's. I've never thought that he would have a softer side in him other than his younger counterpart.

Speak for yourself, I never wanted to kill him for what he did to Sakura. Although I did want to punch him for trying to rape Rin, and for being partially responsible for killing Illya back in UBW.

IIRC, Shinji also raped Ayako (Rin's friend) in UBW.

I really want to see someone telling her that she saved her beloved sister's and best friend's rapist's life. What the hell Nasu.

It's been a while since I played the VN, so, some details must have slipped my mind.

Ok, so I'd kick his ass for what he did to Ayako, but, I still don't give a damn about what he did to Sakura.
