never expected this kind of development in this series, but they sold me with the way it was handled, i mean after this mahiro's only option is to accept nyaruko, if he is a man and has a heart anyways.

It looked like a MH related Great Sword to me, which wouldn't surprise me.

There has been a good number of Monster Hunter references since Ep1. From music, to visual cameos.

Nyarko was back in top form this week after a few episodes of being sort of annoying. It's funny how she has to cross a certain threshold of mania before she goes from being kind of obnoxious to wildly entertaining.

I'm a Lovecraft novice. What was the significance of the takoyaki shop's name? Besides the obvious Cthulhu "octopus" connection that Mahiro clued into.

Kuuko and Hastur were great as usual this week. Kuuko discovered that anticipation is really the best part, huh?

You know, Mahiro had every right to say those things to Nyaruko with that attempted aggravated sexual assault and such. But at the end of it he looks like he's been won over judging from the tsundere act of his.

Some high school hi-jinks next week and I'm guessing that bit with Kuuko will be a Asakura parody with the usual overkill from this show. I'm interested in the reporter girl's bit.
