He's oblivious to the fact that she likes him, which is why she waits for him. Io is dense (they even say he's dense in ep3), but it's just that he's really that nice of a guy regardless.

Oh lord, I've got an special delivery of extra HNNNGGGHHH ordered for next week because I'm going to need it.

Tired Io was amusing, the mochi pounding scene was hilarious (NB: Never call a woman with a mallet flat chested...), and Io's mosquito spearing skills were absurdly preternatural.

The big thing of this week is that it looks like Io's Absolute Obliviousness Field has finally worn down.

was expecting a Hikari Ni Nare reference joke with Tsumiki using the mochi hammer which is ACTUALLY complete with blinding lighting effects to send Sakaki & Mayoi to the stratosphere.....

Just as great as the last festival outing, with my favorite gag being Mayoi and Sakaki trying to bend over to match up with their titling camera lens, only to fall on their face. Tsumiki's "Pettan/Pettanko" gag, while expected, did provide another chance for Tsumiki to show her strength. I'm starting to believe she and Io are brought together by a mutual love of spinning things. The second half, dealing with sickness, was also pretty good. Io's repitoire of skills increases, now including being able to hit a fly with a toothpick like it's no big deal. I'm sure a lot of people will like the scene at the end. I liked the wordplay between Saki, Kana and Mayoi, with Hime trying her best to join in. This series is really good when it comes to puns. The finale will take place over Valentine's and White Day, so the show knows what note it wants to go out on.
