Frankly I am not sure what there is to understand. It's nice to finally get an adult male lead. Kotetsu is funny & charming & yes he is kind of cute I have to admit But really I just like him because against all the teenage protagonists he seemed like a breath of fresh air (not that I have anything against teenage protagonist)

Although this is coming from the female perspective, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of guys voted for Kotetsu too.

Edit: and he sounds like Sanji, the character he was probably best known for before Kotetsu. Of course now I think he is being typecast in these "old man" roles

Well of course and we can see from the results they change pretty rapidly (not to mention a different magazine might of had different results).

But that doesn't take away from the fact that Tiger & Bunny was a big hit & I think Kotetsu was definitely a part of that.

That being said though, I wish there was some kind of rule that limits the characters by year or season... The Sunrise Bishounen and K-On girls have been taking up space for so long it might as well be called the 'top seven', instead of top ten.

One time I swear it was the 'top four'.

Yes he's a good looking character (never really thought he looked like Johnny Depp though)

But how is that any different from all the female characters that you guys like? And really it's not like Kotetsu is the only aesthetically pleasing male character. He's popular because he's a well written character.

And once again as a One Piece fan he sounds like Sanji. :P

Damn it was annoying reading those lists K-on in every damn list. Kinda scary how they won any places in beautiful/loveliest.

They should change "Strongest's Date with Hitiyoshi, the dude splits the sea with a punch and uppercuts a ship from a mile away."

and the fact that none of the girls from Rosario To Vampire is in any of those lists makes me belive the polls were voted on by loli fans.
