I think this is the most likely reason. I've seen it happen in real life.

The only difference is that in the moretsu pirates universe all the snacks coorie eats probably are laden with vitamins and whatnot to help her body mantain nice proportions. On the 21st century stuffing yourself with candies will produce results which are not aestetically pleasing

Eating junk food doesn't automatically equals "doesn't like her body" i.e. when required, Coorie can showoff her figure with confidence.

Anyway, we already have low GI baked chips and sugar alternatives such as stevia.

Demand and buy natural low-calorie sweetener alternatives based candies. The other natural low-calorie sweetener is thaumatin.

If we vote with our wallets, we can have "best of both worlds" when it comes "junk" foods in the 21st century.

No, I had a girlfriend like Coorie once and she had no body-image issues at all. It was mainly a combination of:

A) Putting on makeup, doing her hair, etc. would require getting up half an hour earlier.

B) If a guy won't talk to her because she goes around all frumpy, the guy's not worth talking too.

C) Her ideal Friday night involved loads of junk food, pizza, SciFi channel and web surfing. I honestly think the only reason she kept me around was to buy the pizza and run to the convenience store when the snacks ran out.

As I stated before, I like Coorie's "nerdy" appearance more than the her in this episode. The glasses, the completely relaxed attitude she has, the mixture of awkwardness and confidence in her tech skills... her personality comes through much stronger than her conventionally beautiful appearance. Nerd girls rock.

This is done in a geek I understood it can be pretty and she know but who cares because it wants to stay relaxed in his attitude and the clothes, because she prefers it, and what kind of character because I understand me too I like her

Consider her perspective. She dresses all hot - and walks among pirates. They'd all be gawking at her. That can get annoying.

Am I the only one who expected to see Ririka on Ironbeard's ship, I also expect to see Kane at his usual spot on that ship as well. I fully expect Ironbeard to do a Darth Vader too.
