That's the problem we dunno what the heck this is. Capcom and NT has such bad publicity on this game, no one knows which is which.

Reboot and AU are pretty much the same; either way its something thats not what it used to be.

I wonder what the Japanese reaction to this is. I've seen a bit, and they don't seem happy about the changes. So, if Capcom know their shit, they'll keep it as AU.

Not really. A reboot would mean this new storyline is the new canon, and further games will follow this one. An AU would mean this storyline begins and dies with DMC5.

Pretty much Japan like Tameen said to the old school fans of DMC. They don't care for this game, they pretty much lost the Asian gamers.

Seems these are the "new fanbase" they wanted.

The one thing that kills me inside is the original series is being bashed by it's own company and the new dev. Which really kills the old game I liked.

It absolutely makes no sense why they should bash the same series that made them money and garnished a great fan base. It hurts me too, because it's a series, character, and story that I deeply care about and followed, and now people are just throwing in the towel for this. Specially when they know that the development team and the same company are acting so unprofessional and rude to the consumers and the fan base in general.

This is...I mean seriously, it seems people only care about what they see and hear, not the big picture behind everything.
