4.- MAOYUU 4-KOMA: YOU'RE HORRIBLE, MAOU-SAMA! (4-koma)

I think you mean #3 since it shows Mao-chan as a hot demon but when it comes to badass, #2 is a good option.

For most non-Japanese fans, the Comp Ace version (thereby referred to as "Kotowaru") is the one most recognized as Maoyuu, especially since it not only was the first to get scanlated, but it's also the furthest along.

I hope the anime can do justice to the awesomeness that was the recent chapter with Big Sister Maid ;-;

This. I'm hoping they do that scene well for the adaptation considering it was a very memorable scene.

Some announcements are made a year before the anime even airs. I'm not going to hold my breath on it. I'm just glad that we at least know now that there will be an anime series for this series.

Wasn't expecting to see this when I popped into the new anime section.

This is now my most anticipated anime, overtaken everything else including the likes of Muv-Luv, Sword Art Online and even Magi!

#2 is also the "main, official" version of the manga. Of course in all likelyhood the anime designs won't be based on any of the manga at all, and will just be new designs.

Anyway, it's nice to hear that this is getting an anime adaptation. It certainly deserves it. Like some have said, I hope they keep a design similar to the Comp Ace one; maybe it's because I was introduced to that one first, but I like those designs better.

I think we might see some designs with similarities with KOTOWARU but by the looks of it they will give things a slightly arty feel to it.
Personally hoping they have enough similarities with Kotowaru cause that is my favorite take on the series.
And as noted it is really the "main, offical" version of the manga, it would probably be the one most people associate with the series.

Something about the Drama CD, something I'll probably be burned at the stake for saying but honestly I wonder if I want to see Jun Fukuyama as Hero.
He doesn't quite fit the image of Hero of Kotowaru for me, so hard to say on that part.
I love Jun's voice acting and his roles but this would be one of the rare times where I'm not sure I think he's right for the role(despite him actually being great for these types of roles)
Altho to say who I think might be good for the role is even harder to say.
But rest of teh Drama CD cast looks great since it's just got loads of VA I like

I certainly wouldn't mind if Studio Imagin did this. They did pretty awesome job with Spice & Wolf, and this would be right up their alley provided the staff is still more or less the same.

As I said he is kinda perfect for these roles but not so much Jun isn't good at pulling off silly and serious cause he can but more how he sounds.
I guess it's just more the sound of his voice doesn't quite match the image of the Hero I've gained from having read Kotowaru(a problem that crops up for me in alot of stuff but tends to go away when the animes start)
No doubt Jun will be great for the role and I'll always welcome more Jun but atm I think he doesn't quite sound right for the role of Hero.
