longest sitting I think would have been when I was doing my One Piece marathon, something like 8 hours a day watching....god that was quite an unhealthy time

A single sitting? I remember one time~ 34 hours in total before I fell asleep~

Actually there was a point when I could finish a series after chipping away a few episodes within about three hours, and I thought that was a long time.

Thirty four hours? Really? I'd just about die of over exposure to the screen.

Bleach (up to episode 74 at the time)
True Tears

This is when I started to get back into anime after being a riajuu for a few years "shudders", and was catching up on stuff that I've missed at the time.

Probably around 12 hours, I can't remember doing any longer than that, but remember watching about that much a few times.

A little dizzy and tired, but nothing a simple can of Red Bull or ice cream can't fix!

And I start the next day watching more anime.

back in the day, I did not feel anything. Now I am feeling the repercussions with my poor eye sight (still worth though *insert meme here*). I can't sit too far from screen can't read subs

It is very important to remember to blink, and not let eyes dry out (causes Eye strain)
Sitting for too long causes back pain as well. then I just lie down with the laptop on my stomach

do I regret all the time I spent? I don't think so, I probably could not have accomplished anything worthwhile anyways. would have been a waste of time I did not learn anything, but I made sure to try and learn something. and sometimes watch anime with the critical eye I learned from school.

Wait what? You're ashamed of this?

Regarding the topic, excluding the time when I was trying to catch up to One Piece several years ago, the most I've watched in a single sitting is probably about 8 hours and 40 minutes at most. In other words, every episode in a 26 episode long show.

I can't remember many anime I did this with, but one that easily comes to mind is when I watched Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's english dub.

I'm practically fine everytime I watch long hours of anime. Plus, I energy drink to help me "function" whenever I wake up from a few hours sleep and the job I have makes me move around a lot so it works out, at least to me.
