I remember watching 78 episodes of Katekyo Hotman Reborn in a row once. I was eating fish and chips at the time so food wasn't a problem for me while going through the task.

The only animes I really marathoned in a row are :
- the first 24 episodes of Shaman King (in French dub) with my sisters (4-5 hours around) before tripping into Morocco.
- the entire Madoka Magica series in 5-6 days with one of my sisters and we enjoyed both. This includes of course breaks.

Six hours in a row for a bunch of Legend of Galactic Heroes episodes, with random running commentary in IRC. My friends at #outercadia can attest of it.

depends on the anime, if it's a serious one i try to watch it as fast as possible to reach the conclusion, if it's light anime i watch it in between and if the anime is totally awesome then i try to lengthen it's watching period.
a 12 episode anime takes 3 days at most, if a serious 12 episode then i finish it in one sitting

well, 6 hours is my max single sitting time

Been a long time, so I don't remember the specifics, but I marathoned the entirety of 12 Kingdoms.

I once watched about 16 episodes of One Piece in a single sitting, which would probably be equivalent to 6-7 hours, I'd say that's the longest I can recall.

I did this back in college, like nearly 20 years ago. Series was still going at the time, so whatever was out at the time we marathoned.
Didn't IRC at the same time, we didn't have our own PCs in our rooms, we had to take a trip to the undergraduate lab for that.
It did take several days..

I can't do that anymore, I get tired from watching a single full length movies these days.
Somehow when you're in college you could do crazy stuff... like 2 day continuous LAN party of DOOM2. Jesus.

I don't how long it exactly took, but the longest single sitting viewing of anime I've done was for the original Macross TV series. I believe I went on a marathon starting with episode 12 or so and watched all the way until episode 37.

At the beginning of watching serious anime (not these manipulated trash in TV), i watched the first 20 episodes of Death Note "in a single sitting". A lot of hours, the day was gone.

I vaguely recall watching 20 episodes of Fushigi Yuugi in a single sitting...wow what was wrong with me

Those cliffhangers were a bitch though.

Last year, I watched both seasons of Clannad in a single day.

It was toooooooootally worth it though.

The closest I've done since was 10 episodes a day for Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Clannad was a sprint. LotGH was a marathon.

20 hours of One Piece non-stop.

20 hours of Detective Conan non-stop.

10 hours of Naruto non-stop.

20 episodes of Death Note.

Hmm, there could be more but I don't remember. I was insane at the time. That was years ago. Now I rarely found an anime that can hold me for that long. Steins;Gate came close but I only watched 6-7 episodes a day.

Recently I had a Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood marathon with a few friends. It actually took us two days, because one of us was always tired. But I'd say we watched about 45+ episodes in a row the second day....so about 16 hours. =u=;

When i first got hooked up to animes...i couldn't resist it.

I watched One Piece (non-stop with bathroom breaks of course) for 16 hours. Sorry leokiko i can't compete with you hehehe

Right now...i could go almost WHOLE DAY but i choose not to since watching too much animes can damage your eyes (MAKE NOTE OF THAT ANIME ADDICTS!!!)

My eyes get tired after 4-6 hours.

So I think maximum 4 hours.

Also I don't have some much continuous free time

I watched all 74 episodes of Monster in one sitting. I may have taken a few breaks to piss here and there but I don't really remember since this was a while back. I didn't eat anything and only drank water from water bottles. It was an intense ride and I rather liked it.

Hmm, Recently I watched all 13 episodes of Angel Beats plus the OVA so that's about 350 minutes (5 hours 50 minutes) Plus the Summer animes I had to watch that day (Around 4 episodes) so altogether about 6 hours 30 minutes? Around that
