If you are only worried about the hdd, then if it's still running now it should be ok. A headcrash (which would be what can kill it by dropping) would surely stop it from functioning right away.
Other than that, electronics (non moving parts) are pretty shock resistant. That is, unless its 'china quality' assembly, which I hope is not the case with IPods.

Typically, handheld electronics are built to be somewhat shock resistant. It's designed and engineered with the thought that people will occasionally drop them. Let's not have them break immediately. And as Dhomochevsky said, if it runs now, chances are, it'll run later.

What kind of fatal gallbladder disease causes temporary retardation o_O?

The wife of my boss nearly died a month ago when he found her crawling around the ground in the house and her speech was slow, slurred and her thought process was completely screwed up. She didn't recognize her husband and asked him why he was crippled, and my boss is not a cripple.

He took her to emergency and doctor said she's in critical condition and could have died if she was not sent to emerg for another few hours. She just had her gallbladder removed and now she's walking and talking fine like a normal person.

I couldn't find anything that sounds remotely close to this =/

I don't have the time to look it up and my medical knowledge is not yet advanced enough to know exactly what the issue was, but I wouldn't be surprised if her blood pH had become altered secondary or tertiary to a liver disorder caused by a gallbladder that may have been impinging its blood supply if it had become enlarged. If the blood pH is altered too far, a person's mental capacity and brain can become impaired.

pH, sodium levels, hormone imbalance.... there are really dozens of things that could result in those symptoms - most of which can be really bad (fatal or brain damage) if ignored. The wonder is that any of it ever works at all, its such a plumber's nightmare duct tape mess

Ooo, that's interesting. Thanks for the reply. I don't know much about affects of abnormal pH but I do recall reading that liver disorder from severe gallbladder stones, or as wiki mentioned 'porcelain stone'.

In anime girls sometimes have large ribbons/bows in the back of their hair, and in some cases like Sayuri Kurata from Kanon or Miku Kohinata from Symphogear, their hair is clearly tied back partially to hold it, while other seem to have their bow attached to their hair magically, like Kanon Nakagawa from the TWGOK, is such a ribbon anime physics at it's best, or I am overlooking some trick that keeps it in her hair?

You tie a bow first, do a knot to secure the bow, and use the leftover ribbon to tie up the hair.

Cafepress used to be the site that everyone seemed to use, but I don't know if there are better alternatives these days.

Look at the model code on the back of your PS3 and compare it with the tables on this site: http://www.edepot.com/playstation3.html

The code should start with CECH.
