1) Nega Nebulus already made themselves a thorn in the Research Society's sides at a few places. Green Grande and his lieutenants are also involved, trying to find a way to take down Metatron.

2)Black Lotus stomped one of their guys at Okinawa when she was on the school trip, the Research Society built a back door into the place so they can camp enemies away from everyone else. And technically, the Research Society does lose at times (eg, sort of at the race in Vol5 - they didn't win the race, but they managed to expose the existence of IS system to the AW world).

The new virus isn't from CD >.> As for the number of victims, at least a few dozen, possibly up to a hundred.

I thought the IS system was well known by the top players and their associates? Did they expose it to the lower levelled ones to cause a rift between low and high level?

'Top players' are hardly the entire Accel World Basically the IS system was revealed to several hundred spectators of the race, and most of them didn't know about the IS system to begin with.

General Question about the race or other events in AW.

Since its a fighting game, how do they organize a race? Does the research society organize it or is it a normal mini-game that happens every month or something?

Just wondering since I only read the summaries about that.

When a new area is created the GM organizes a one-off event. The last time it was when a amusement park opened, and it became a capture-the-flag game of sorts. Players can't be hurt, but their 'flag/item' can be destroyed.

This time, a space elevator opened up and ten vehicles are created. They drive up the elevator and try and reach the end.

Perhaps whoever Haru invites into AW will become one. He flies around and attacks while they snipe out anything that gets close to him during that time.

After watching episode 13 of the anime, and seeing how KYH reacted to talking about the only other healer in AW, who was supposedly a king (obviously the White King), is it possible that he/she is her AW parent? I don't remember anything of the sort of being talked about in this thread, but that could just be my memory.

And ugh, that arc has officially begun. :<

I saw some images of episode 14, I could practically touch the NTR vibes from them. This will be a tough arc to swallow. On a side note, I read the SAO/AW crossover recently after reading it I really want to see it animated. What do you guys think the chances of that happening?

Hm, we might see it as an OVA if the first season of both AW and SAO do well sales-wise.

- Black Vise and some of his lackeys. I wonder what Black Vise's trauma is.
- I have no idea who this girl is supposed to be..
- Who are these two? I initially thought they were Saffron Blossom and her lover, but blue =/= chrome.. Whoever they are, they're adorable..
- Some red humanoid robot that I don't recognise
- Dusk Taker with Silver Crow's wings. Eugh. How annoying.
- Ash Roller and Silver Crow.

Oh! When Brain Burst is uninstalled, what exactly does that player lose? Just their Brain Brust related memories?

Wasn't Black Vise at the race? If I remember correctly, KYH had to rush back from Okinawa to prevent him from curb stomping Haru and the others.

So that's how Black Vise looks like, vertical slash attacks won't work on him.
This is me just trolling, but does his special ability allow him change from vertical stripes to horizontal/diagonal stripes? A natural counter to Black Lotus?
