So...

1. Inori lose by only 4 against Niku. The small margin puts her into necklace, where she'll get absolutely crushed. On side note, Inori just finish 18th in her prelim group in AST, yet here she's actually getting close to a strong AST crown contender in Niku...
2. Mato barely edged out Kurisu by 100. Kurisu is a .500 girl = Is Mato losing whatever strength that she gains from the anime? Or is it just purely strategic. Mato gets into necklace either way, just to compete for the crown of getting the least votes with Inori.
3. No Ruby repeat for Shana. Biribiri shows that her defeat last round is greatly exaggerated.
4. Speaking of that defeat, though, Taiga just won over Yuki by 800. I guess people did really want to see a 3-peat by Yuki last period.
5. After seemingly gaining some momentum last 2 rounds, Homura is back to where she belongs
6. Can't say Eu didn't try, but we all know Kanade is miles ahead of her. It's the closest margin that anyone got to for awhile, though.
7. And oh yeah, Azusa finally wins one against Mio in ISML.

As far as necklace...Biribiri already won half of it with a huge SDO lead. Even with the new formula, 97.897/3 = 32.6323. The next closest (Azu-nyan) is 81.750/3 = 27.250. As much as Mio is not there to divide the K-On vote, it's nearly impossible for Azu-nyan to get 5% more of total votes compare to Biribiri.

Now, if Mio had won, as long as it's by a big enough margin, then K-On had a chance. But now? Another boring necklace match...

At least there's Arena 2, the repeat of last year's moepocalypse. Last exhibition is also interesting (Kuroyukihime finished a distant 2nd in her prelim in AST, Nyaruko didn't appear yet). Although, is it even fair for them to NOT be named Nyaruko and Kuuko?

- The other reason Sena's chances of winning the necklace are not very good is Kobato will also be involved in the match (after winning against Charlotte)

- I think Mio would have tied Mikoto going into the necklace match had she won against Azusa. It may have been a year since Emerald 7 when Mio cost Azusa a chance to win Emerald. While Azusa winning gives Mikoto a bigger chance at winning Ruby for the second time, Azusa finally gets a win against Mio for bragging rights.

- Speaking of bragging rights, Kanade/Ruri win their individual and exhibition matches. (as a team they beat Taiga/Shana) Kanade's win over Euu most likely ensures her another unbeaten regular season record (assuming no unexpected upsets along the way)

- By a VD of 15 votes, Mikoto passes the VD she set in the tiara match against Shana. She puts her past loss to Yuki behind her, but by winning by that much, she just became a bigger target.
- Of course Taiga is still unbeaten at the moment with her win over Yuki

- I see Kobato in a second match for the necklace round. This could give her a chance at getting a exhibition match win. (I thought I saw Mikoto in a second match. My eyes must be deceiving me)
- I also see Nyaruko/Ku-Ko and KuroYukiHime involved in a match. That will be an interesting match.

My guess is a bunch of Shana fans decided to target the Topaz necklace instead.

Awesome nerd points... no bonus for you as the forum won't let me again this soon.

Of course, there is a corollary to this... it becomes invalid if there is a S&W III.
Come on Season III!
I suppose there is some denial on my part that there CAN'T be a Season III.

Great job by the Shana/Taiga combination in managing to get within striking distance of Kanade/Kuroneko. While Shana definitely helped Taiga more than Kuroneko helped Kanade, it's still no easy feat to get this close to Tenshi. Taiga still has two more periods to figure out how to close that gap and manage to do it in 1 on 1 combat. It's going to be tough to do but maybe not impossible.

While the Taiga/Shana combination was on the ball today, Shana herself was not. Only getting 43.4% on Mikoto is pretty awful. For comparison, Shana got 42.9% on Kanade last year. Hopefully, this was just Shana throwing necklaces for a better color like last year and she bounces back from this. Mikoto looks to be pretty much a lock for the Ruby necklace now. I guess Shana can go focus on her current AST match for now.

Sena and Kobato had a lot of trouble this time. Sena nearly gives up a win to Inori. That's pretty far down from her usual level. Although not in as much danger, Kobato also doesn't so so well against Charlotte. Yozora was also a bit weak this time. The Haganai crew are going to need to work harder in the future or their may find their current strength fading fast.

And Mikoto scores with a huge SDO advantage over second highest SDO Azusa. Even with the new SDO rule, Mikoto looks to have this in the bag unless something happens that completely flips the table over.

The tag-team exhibition match looks fun to watch. Let's see if Accel World can win against Nyaruko and Kuuko with their still airing series.

Ther result of that match is fairly consistent with Last year's final. Aka one match after Shana fans pulled their ambush on Kanade. The point being, ISML fans are smart enough to notice when Shana fans are making a move and react accordingly.

I meant more in tactics rather than numbers. But it's effectively tradition that this scenario happens.
