there is also the Rin slap, Laura slap, and the Charl KO Kick too.

To be fair, Tatenashi's was a sparring match. Less of a beating and more of training/proving themselves.

Maybe so my friend but in the end he got KO and ended up in the infirmary .

If need medical attention or end up there then it was a beat down.

I think its like this they(other countries) observe and evaluate the students at the IS school looking for the most skill and most talented and as the students grades to pick their representative .
And because the students from the moment they enrolled in the school that they cut all ties with nationality.

And yes thats true . All harem lead male are "protags take a beatdown" some more then others.

But what if he doesn't dodge any one of those strikes? wouldn't that be an interesting little plot twist? It's like how no one expected Touma to die, but it happened twice and both time were INTENSE AS HELL. Or how no one guessed that Aincrad would last one volume long on their first read, so when they find out, MIND BLOWN. Breaking expectations with unexpected practicality is starting to become a trend...

@ Chad001 - Sounds like a Fanfic. Some made plans for that, and it ends with the girls going insane and murdering everyone ala school days.

Think of it like soccer system. You want the person representing your country to be a locale, but sometimes, some people are just too talented to not entice them to represent your country. Tatenashi ane is one such person piloting skill wise.

I really wouldn't trust the wiki fully. Besides that, her features really don't mark her for a Japanese. Ichika, Houki, and Rin, who are of Asian descent, show slightly tan skin. Tatenashi and Kanzashi have a skin and hair tone more akin to Charlotte and Cecilia.

Either way, maybe it's just author appeal.
