I should also say that other parts of the Singing ED could be seen as a homage of sorts to The Who - the beach backgrounds seem to be based on Brighton and the cliff scenes are very similar to the chalk cliffs further along the south coast of England - both of these locations feature heavily in the 1979 film Quadrophenia that The Who made & soundtracked. Brighton is only an hour away by train from London, so i wouldn't be surprised if they took a quick diversion there while location scouting for the film!

oh i forgot about the iconic Helter Skelter (Beatles reference haha!) that features prominently on Brighton Pier and at the start of the Singing ED

(sorry i got a bit obsessed with this but i lived in Brighton for a while and never thought a place i knew so well would turn up in K-On!)

That's not a bad idea. There's a lot of "cute imagery" or "pervy imagery" but not so much "kick ass rocker" images. I'll dig through what I have so far but mostly it is just Mio trying to look tough and being cute. Azusa kick-ass imagery would be great t-shirt material.

Amazingly little on first pass --- tanned Azusa with tattoo..
