Why don't you give Sora o Kakeru Shoujo, Heroic Age and Vandread a shot. They're space mecha anime mixed with adventure and comedy. What do you think?

Well if you are looking for comedy and manage to forget your morals than Seitokai Yakuindomo. Be warned, this will really question your morals and funniest episode is ep 4. I didn't watch the rest due to morals. I only watch this because I was bored, but it is one of the few anime that made me laugh ........... and question my morals.

Yeah! Another Space Battleship Yamato fan!

In that vein I'd suggest Crest of the Stars

If you want something more light hearted and funny you could try Full Metal Panic or Bodacious Space Pirates.

Maybe I should have been clearer, I meant a recent anime. I prefer more serious stuff. I was looking for a good comedy does not mean it has to have mecha.

I do love Space Battleship Yamato.

Should I watch Gundam Unicorn?

So I am looking for 1 serious Gundam. Yamato, Macross like series and a comedy.

PS I am watching Ozuma next because it is Leiji Matsumoto's work

You'd be missing out on Great Teacher Onizuka if you don't watch it because it's old. It's a classic anime comedy
